Christmas turkey dinner, heavy on the meat with pigs in blankets on the side.
Followed by a cheese board with all the majors.
Ahhhh, the memories. Ahhh, the terrible flatulence whilst playing board games.
Hey, what height and weight is Hot Pink, on his lard based diet, then?

Does khema still have wine and cheese free flows on Thursday? That was outstanding value, with a lot more to it than cheese btwSpigzy wrote: ↑Mon Dec 20, 2021 3:43 pmToo right, everyone knows it is funneled indirectly!
Speaking of cheese, what IS going on in the KoW at the moment - I've been enjoying Swiss Gruyere for well over 10 years, but Thai Huot ran out, so I switched to Manchego which is inferior, but still good. Now all that is left is bloody Cheddar or Gouda (pukeface), or that slimy soft French stinky stuff like Brie or Camembert (extrapukeface).
I gave up going to Lucky Sihanouk Blvd for my Stilton, just too many damn weirdos there that made an Ibiza 48h rave after party look like the pinnacle of civilisation.

Lucky SHK hasn't had a cheese counter for quite some time. There's also a lack of weirdos, in fact of customers generally.Spigzy wrote: ↑Mon Dec 20, 2021 3:43 pmToo right, everyone knows it is funneled indirectly!

You might find something to your taste at Kiwi Premium on 63 (stock comes and goes) Chip Mong on Monivong or at Ferme de Bassac (formerly Le Votre) on 178. Khéma Pasteur occasionally has something not available elsewhere.
Edited to add -
Kiwi had some Roquefort @ $30 /kilo recently which is a keen price

The last time I browsed through the cheese options, I think, there was Gruyere on offer. Could be sold out now, I don't know.

Good shout - I'll be over there tomorrow & will check it out; Aeon2, or even the little Aeon-lite mini-marts are usually stocked with pretty fresh veg which I'll need for Xmas dinner cooking
Cheeky bit of Gruyere, a slab of Stilton or Shropshire blue ideally, but even a Bleu d'Auvergne is a decent enough substitute.

I only eat high protein and high fat foods in the afternoon like fish and beef and eggs. I also sometimes eat a salad or fermented vegetables but I get a stomachache when I eat too much fiber. After 5PM I eat my largest meal of the day and it usually includes a healthy share of carbohydrates.
The problem with the keto and carnivore diets from my experience is that it is difficult to eat enough calories. When I'm on these diets I also wake up too early and often times wake up in the middle of the night with throbbing, aching erections and I have to pee before I can fall asleep again. I'm also prone to stomachaches when I'm on a keto or carnivore diet. If you want to lose weight then a keto diet is probably the way to go.
While it is technically possible to get enough protein on a vegan diet, it is hard to consume amino acids in the right proportions. It is also hard to consume enough vitamin B12, zinc, magnesium, and L-Carnitine. Oxalates might be an issue for vegans but healthy people with a less extreme diet probably shouldn't worry about them.

That’s why people soak their food in olive oil.
Most vegans as well vegetarians I know are skinny, or became skinny when they saw the light and switched to an unhealthy diet scheme.Harold wrote: ↑Wed Dec 22, 2021 11:02 pmI only eat high protein and high fat foods in the afternoon like fish and beef and eggs. But they were skinny and super health conscious before they went weird(er).
Small sample size I know.
It is definitely possible to lose weight on a vegan diet. There are even a few outstanding vegan athletes. But most of the vegetarians and vegans I've met or seen on Youtube are either fat or slightly crazy and most vegan women look like they are anaemic. I suspect that most of the vegan bodybuilders are on gear.
Some studies show that vegans have a lower bone density than people with moderate diets.

Hot Pink Urinal Mint what do you think about the oligarchs who are promoting insects as a source of protein?
Not sure that’ll be any good for Vegans.
That’s been around for as long as the Chinese and more protein than meat whilst using much less something, maybe resources. Or less methane. Dunno.
Never caught on then won’t now even though people have tried for years.
pew, pew, pew, pew!
