Studies show that if our prehumans ancestors had only eaten raw vegan diets, our brains would not have grown to the size they did.

Do we really want the world to turn vegetarianism if it means that more people can be sustained on the planet?
Maybe it's a good job we eat meat!

Veganism didn’t build the people on that list of strongman champions and professional athletes. That’s a list of steroid users.spitthedog wrote: ↑Sat Feb 19, 2022 2:09 amThe Williams tennis sisters don't exactly look puny to me.

There’s a big problem in your way of thinking that you assume that all protein is equal. Diet induced thermogenesis varies depending on the protein source. The protein quality is determined by its amino acid profile.
High quality protein (animals) contain a shit ton of amino acids that plants lack yielding a higher DIT. That’s why it’s called high quality protein and protein from plants is called low quality protein.
Eating only plants or only meat isn’t ideal. Eating plants helps for having a steady supply of amino acids. Eating veggies with meat slows down absorption and is much more efficient.
Eat lean meat and whole food protein sources, fruit, veggies, preferably dark green veggies. And then if you want to look and perform like the Williams tennis sisters use steroids.

Almost every vegan I have met looks like a Belsen victim, and they have to take protein supplements.
To answer another poster on here, I don't think anybody is suggesting we completely abolish meat, but we definitely need to reduce consumption of red meat, if only because of health reasons.
You cite brain size as justifying meat consumption, but disregard hundreds (thousands) of studies that have definitively linked excessive/ everyday red meat consumption with cancer.
Ergo, you eat red meat, but your brain doesn't understand that too much is bad for you?
So your brain grew, but it doesn't work well enough to understand the link?

"Animal meat is known for its many nutrients. If you eat a variety of animal meats (light and dark, not just beef, as well as various organs), you can take in all the amino acids you need to manufacture your own bodily proteins plus vitamins like B12, niacin, thiamine, B5, B6, B7, and vitamins A and K.
But here’s the thing: If you swap all that animal protein for an equally diverse diet of plant-based proteins like nuts, seeds, and beans, you are no worse off. That’s because these foods are also packed full of a similar spectrum of nutrients. The biggest difference is vitamin B12, which most plants cannot produce on their own. You can get B12 from edible seaweed and in fortified cereals, though the easiest way is through supplementation or by eating animal products.
Given their equal vitamin profile, Andrea Giancoli, a registered dietitian in California says plant-based proteins are far healthier than their meat counterparts. That’s because, pound-for-pound, they pack more nutrients into fewer calories. They also have one thing that animal proteins completely lack: fiber. (Except for things like tofu, which is processed, Giancoli notes.) Let’s not forget the fiber. Fiber aids in digestion, promotes a healthy gut microbiome, and is strongly associated with lower cardiovascular disease risk.

Talking of muscle obsessed Arnie.
He is 99% vegan, and was also one of the strongest power lifters.
Quote ;
"As I got older and I started reading up on it, I recognized the fact that you really don’t have to get your protein from meat — or from animals,” he shared. “So we started going more in the direction of a vegetarian kind of diet. Now we’re doing it the right way, with spices, and all of a sudden, I love it much more than the meat.”
My hunch is that we have been conditioned to eat meat.
It must have taken our earliest ancestors a long time to learn how to hunt, without consuming too much energy.

He wasn't vegan when he was one of the strongest power lifters. People like Arnie can also afford nutritionists and specialized chefs, and people who live in places like LA have access to lots of specialized products - which tend to be prohibitively expensive to most.spitthedog wrote: ↑Sat Feb 19, 2022 3:46 pmHe is 99% vegan, and was also one of the strongest power lifters.
BTW, since when was coleslaw vegan?

You don't seem to understand the point. The reason our brains are so big is because we have eaten diets that included meat for millions of years. A vegan's brain is the same size for the same reason. Going vegan for a few years is not going to change that.twinkletoes wrote: ↑Sat Feb 19, 2022 2:48 pm

Those animals also have several stomachs, making it easier for them to break down plants and vegetable matter. We, on the other hand, only have one stomach, meaning that we need to ferment or find some way to pre-digest the plants we eat.spitthedog wrote: ↑Fri Feb 18, 2022 8:58 pm
Gorillas, hippos, and elephants are vegan and the most powerful of mammals.
Cross don't fuck with hippos.
Lions don't fuck with elephants.
Then there's German vegan strongman Patrik Baboumian.
The mostly meat eating Eskimos don't live that long.
The mostly veg eating Okinawa people have the longest life spans.
100 grams of peanuts for 50% of RDA of protein. Who doesn't like nuts?
Most store soy milk is fortified with calcium.
Vegan sausages are actually very good.
(Looks around for snipers in the surrounding buildings)
Okinawans eat a lot of pork.
All those älternative milks are a con - they are mostly water!
Most people already eat a plant based diet - if you look at the average plate you will see 80% indigestible fibre (veg) and 20% meat.
Lack of meat in a diet also affects facial structure - it produces a weak jaw.
Why someone who can afford the best grass fed meat insists on eating packaged "nu food" demonstrates the success of the social engineering.

Yes, and as I pointed out their food has so little nutrition that they spend their time doing nothing except eating, shitting and sleeping.Hot_Pink_Urinal_Mint wrote: ↑Sat Feb 19, 2022 5:17 pm

This woman says that eating meat makes you a Nazi.
Someone forgot to tell Hitler.
