Good Afternoon
seeking advice on the reality of applying for a subclass 801 visa for khmer gf .
Situation
She has just been to Australia for 8 months on a tourist visa to visit her family
I met her two months ago
I fell in love
I can see where this is going
She will go home to Cambodia shortly and then return in March for the balance of her 12 month tourist visa ( so....she will back with me in Australia for 3 months)
total time we will have known each other by the time her tourist visa expires in June23 will be 5 months.
If i bring her straight back again on yet another tourist visa can we then proceed prety much striaght away down the subclass 801 ( application from inside Australia ) path ?
If so - could we also get married in Australia while she is on that second tourism visa ?
Just trying to figure out what options are so we are not apart for too long.
Thanks
Australia partner visa subclass 801

I can see this ending badly.
If you’re under 30 it’s pretty straight forward. If not it’ll cost you around $10k AUD. The Australian government won’t entertain a “relationship” of less than 12 months.

pew, pew, pew, pew!
You are misinformed.
It costs $8k no matter what age you are
I know several people who have brought partners in under 12 months. I am more than happy to wait.
Thanks for the positivity though.
My point is if you (and she) are young it's very cheap and quick.didgeydoo wrote: ↑Mon Jan 16, 2023 4:49 amYou are misinformed.

How long did they know their partners for?

I get the feeling didgeydoo and kangaroo are one and the same. Nothing like a free ad for a service that isn't necessary at all. Visa forms are tickboxes. If you need to pay someone to fill it out I wonder how you managed to earn the money needed in the first place.
"Goodness me! Now STD free..."
Didgeydoo and Kangaroo are two seperate posters.
Apart from that, you need to ensure that the visa your ladyfriend in using to visit Oz is capable of being converted over to a 801 visa.
Some visa's do not allow 801 applications to be attached and they have to leave Australia and reapply.

I refuse to go out with nothing more than a whimper followed by a small farting sound and a shit stain on my bed sheets..
Just thought I'd share that with you.

You sound like you need a holiday mate.rektj00 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 16, 2023 8:10 amI get the feeling didgeydoo and kangaroo are one and the same.
