I failed virtually all of my classes after 8th grade, that's why. Since I wasn't interested in doing what I "should", I was lazy according to her.Taa Moan wrote:LAZINESS? Wow that is one characteristic I would not have ascribed to you from what you have written here Akira.
Cambodians are somewhat childlike in their emotional lives.
To be fair though, a lot of "broken" people regardless of country act in childish ways too. Hard to blame them when there's no family structure to help them grow.

Can someone please kindly close this thread. Many people here have been making my search for my husband a farce and therefore those only serious people who can help me locate my husband should send me a private message. I would try to check my private message weekly. I appreciate some people here who may be interested in my circumstances and who may try to help. Anyway, thanks to anyone here who tried to help me in my quest to search for my dearest husband. I just hope my husband is okay wherever he is even if I don't hear any news from him.

If you want the admin to lock and delete a thread about you, then you should kidnap a shoplifter in your supermarket and try to extort him for $2,000.wendyaspinall wrote:Can someone please kindly close this thread. This thread is not really about me.
This thread was really about my quest to search for my husband.
Anyway, thanks for trying to help though your suggestion above sound bizarre though I think you were making a joke out of it.
By the way, I did try to ring my husband and I did try to email him but so far have no response.
Anyway, I am still hoping to get back in touch with my husband soon.

This is a great thread you started, it'll likely be going for many years.
Romantic Cambodia is dead and gone. It's with McKinley in the grave.
What puzzles me is why you keep referring to MA as your husband, as he is surely your ex husband and doesn't give a toss about you, so accept that and move on ffs.

If there has been no judgment of divorce they are still married. Assuming she has received no notice of a divorce judgment I think her terminology is quite reasonable.kinard wrote:What puzzles me is why you keep referring to MA as your husband, as he is surely your ex husband and doesn't give a toss about you, so accept that and move on ffs.

That is the legal angle but if you are separated, then 'ex' or 'former' is appropriate in my view. It is not as if they have lost each other and need help to reunite.gavinmac wrote:If there has been no judgment of divorce they are still married. We got married more than 16 years ago under civil registry marriage. It was the happiest day of my life though we did not have much.
I still have the two wedding rings that he bought them for me to seal our marriage union.
We are still legally husband and wife though we may be leading separate lives at the moment.
I know he is the most caring and most loving person in the world even though he does not have much.

Why do you have both rings? Oh, he threw it at you when he left 16 years ago, right.wendyaspinall wrote:Again, you got it right, Gavin.gavinmac wrote:If there has been no judgment of divorce they are still married. He is not the most caring person in the world ... I am! But obviously he doesn't care about you.
Just sayin. Feel me?

We had our reunion in Bangkok, lived in Thailand or specifically Phuket for a month where he took his Telf course and then we travelled onwards to Phnom Penh. Now, being still legally his wife and am still very concerned about him, I have been trying to contact him since I lost touch with him two years ago.
I just hope he is okay.
