Hey all,
I should know the answer to this by now, however I just want to be clear. My daughter has dual British and Khmer passports and citizenship and born in Cambodia. She has been travelling around the region on her khmer passport lots over the last 3 years. This summer we will head back to the UK and it will be the first time she will use her UK passport. Question is, is there anything we need to do with the passport? I assume we can leave the country on her Khmer passport and arrive to the UK on her British passport? How about if we leave on her UK passport? K visa required?
Additional question, has anyone has issues at the airport if their kids travel to Europe with only their Khmer mum? I can write a letter of consent. We've never had problems in the region but to Europe could be different.
Cheers

Same situation; yes I took my son out of country on his Khmer passport, then enter UK for the first time on his British passport- no trouble at all. Coming back, exit on British passport, enter Cambodia on Khmer passport.
The second question on solo travel in Europe with mum alone not sure, but have taken my son alone without any questions asked- was equally armed with a letter from the wife & copy of her passport just in case.

Cheers Spigzy, much appreciated. I suppose its much more common for the foreign dads to travel alone rather than the mum.
We had a small issue a couple of years ago where my partner travelled with our daughter to Vietnam and left her with me for a few days while she went back to sort some things out at home, and Khmer immigration didn't like that she had left with a dependent and returned without one.
