How much to deliver a baby
Expecting soon and need to sort this. We have not gone in for the 1st checkup as she is just a couple months pregnant.
This kinda sucks being out of work for months, but we will do the best.
Looking for a maternity clinic in PP, more specifically Sen Sok or maybe Toul Kouk or nearby.
How much are checkups/visits?
How do you pay? In advance? After birth, etc?
What would be the best place for a lad on a budget? But not a place that would be low class and involve risks for my wife.

Khema clinic , modern, clean, English speaking staff, excellent facilities and foreign trained doctors. About 3k iirc, including a large private room
Or go cheap and take chances at an overcrowded Khmer hospital.

Yes please, looking for more options. $3k unfortunately isn't an option for us.
You can go to any government hospital and it costs bugger all.
Clinics in PP are min $2.5k just for natural delivery. C section is 30% more.
If you can get to Sonja Kill in Kampot it’ll be around $400 for a natural birth, which they prefer and so does mom and baby.

Without a doubt to Dr T at Mearda Fertility and Baby clinic in Toul Kork she took care of 4 of mine and was very discrete with each mother despite them all being born within weeks of each other.
Her labour skills are second to none, and she won't do unnecessary surgery. Only one of the 4 needed an emergency cesarian on account of her twot just being too tight (one of the things I fell in love with her for). The other 3 just slid right out.
Highly recommended. Not the most expensive.
Offers an exceptional range of services for the big day as well as a good selection of pre and post sale service packs (vaccinations and health checks) available.
This will be echoed on any of the FB exist groups.

It seems one of my posts got lost in the mail, apologies if I've accidentally posted it on another thread. My wife and I had a good experience at Soriya Hospital (opposite Pontoon) which was about $1,200 if memory serves. The budget option would be the Japanese funded National Maternal Health and Child Care Hospital. No bells and whistles (no private rooms after birth) but they know what they're doing and it will be cheap.

We used this one, they have different budget levels. I think the VIP was $1.5k+
People also think use Calmette to get much cheaper, plus they deliver tons of babies so wouldn’t be afraid if I was on a budget.

I paid about $1500 in a private clinic but that was with a C section and a nice suite, and it was 13 years ago. Apparently Calmette has ok private suites, maybe $600 or so?
