A heads up for anyone considering a trip to the UK. For obvious reasons, Malaysian has some excellent fares to the UK at the moment. Around $900 will get you PNH-KL-LHR-KL-PNH in economy class. The business class fare is $2300ish. It's actually cheaper to fly business class with them than it is economy on some of the other carriers.
The connections are good: a two hour stopover in KL before getting the night flight to London to arrive around 6am and - better still - they use the Airbus 380 on the KL to London route.

Alan,
Did your bum start to twitch abit though when you flew near Russian territory?
And did the pilots have big bushy beards?

With LH you could also never arrive.Hanno wrote:Of course the last long haul has been flying for over a year....
With BA you strand in Johannesburg.
With AF it might be your luck to cross the oceans and not subsequently dive into a ravine.
With former USSR airlines, you'll have to deice the plane yourself and certainly breathalyse the crew yourself to.

Latvia is a former USSR state (and together with its cousins) very worried to be confiscated by Russia).Hanno wrote:Not only in the ex-USSR:v12 wrote:With LH you could also never arrive.Hanno wrote:Of course the last long haul has been flying for over a year....

BA are doing some very good fares from KL too. Slightly cheaper than MAS and with onward connections throughout the UK.
