Hey Guys,
i will be entering Poipet from Thailand sometime on Monday (Haven't worked out best time yet) I need to get a hotel and be at Kamrieng (Thai Border crossing) by 10AM Tuesday.
How on earth am i gonna do this? I can't find any hotels online around Kamrieng (not bookable online anyway) just Battambang and Poipet (not much).
Will I have to go to Battambang and stay there monday night and leave for Kamrieng in the morning? Can i go straight from Poipet and theres a hotel nearby Kamrieng thats bookable by card online?
Options please and prices, i'm on a strict budget (cheap ASFP)
Poipet Or Battambang to Kamrieng
How much we talking here? Taxi to a hotel in Sisophon then a taxi to Kamrieng?
I've also heard about busing to Battambang, then bus to Pailin then taxi to Kamrieng but don't have any details on that.

Taxi to a hotel in Sisophon then taxi to Kamrieng? Prices?
Any idea how much a taxi from Battambang to Kamrieng would cost? Or any info on the bus to Pailin?

You could save yourself a bit of hassle by going over the border from Thailand direct at Kamrieng - that's what the crossing is there for.
If (for whatever reason) you feel the need to cross at Poipet, you could simply charter a taxi from Poipet direct to Kamrieng (there's a road that passes close to the border all the way to Pailin).
In Kamrieng, I doubt you'll find a hotel you can pay in advance online with a credit card...
BUT....there's *no practical need to*. It ain't like there'll be a nativity scenario (No Room At The Inn). It's a small, shitbox border town.
And, in any case, if you cannot find a way to book a hotel online in advance, would that mean you cancel your trip??
I think will likely be more straightforward than you're imagining.

No idea about the price. Depends on how well you can negotiate with the driver in Poipet. I wouldn't stay in Sisophon, go straight to Kamrieng. That'll be cheaper and there's just as little to pass the time in Sisophon as Kamrieng.
Why not cross back over via Pailin? At least there's a few big casinos to get drunk in.
