It's because I was thinking I'd extend the Ordinary visa while visiting and in country that I was mostly trying to wrap my head around which EOS option would be best to choose. I suppose if I stop trying to best position myself for future possibilities and just extend based on my circumstances at that time, the problem in my head doesn't exist. As I say... was trying to decide what was best option in the absence of knowing what my situation might be ... overthinking!PSD_Kiwi wrote:If you plan on staying longer than 2mths, working or require a MEEV, then still apply for the E-type (Ordinary) VOA. It's the EOS options that have changed, so you will need to choose the one most relevant to your circumstances, at this stage they are not asking for any documents in support of the EOS application, but once they finally get their shit together I'm sure they'll start requiring supporting documents.violet wrote:Yes, I remember seeing that and am now confused as to what to apply for

I was offered a 30min turnaround at the airport for an E Visa . $360.
E VIsa on arrival $ 35
E Visa transfer $290
Plus tuk tuk fares, petrol, your time running around ? $20
Wait time 72 hours or so.
Shoulda gone the airport route.

That seems like it's in the ballpark ( airport price )... could you request an "ER" or was it for the "EB" only?ricecakes wrote:I was offered a 30min turnaround at the airport for an E Visa . $360.

still niggles me regards to the "looking for work" visa... what happens if you find a job, do you get your visa changed? it only lasts 3 months n all, might just get the ordinary business visa and run the work permit gauntlet

Im coming in on a Business Visa, working as GM. They gave me 3 month single entry. Embassy said i would need to goto Ministry to apply for extension based on my contract. Will I be able to get a multi entry visa, as I will have several systems trainings over the next year. Thanks you any advice or input.

You have a 1 month visa that you can use to enter within 3 months. You do not have a 3 month visa.JoeRamone wrote: ↑Thu Jul 23, 2020 10:17 pmIm coming in on a Business Visa, working as GM. Your company should help arrange your visa extension. If you are working for a Cambodian company you are eligible for a multi entry EB visa type extension.

Yes, as she said, you will be eligible for and receive a 12 month multi-entry EoS (extension of stay) to your visa. If your job is with any sort of reputable company you will just give your passport to HR upon your arrival and they'll deal with. Most likely, they will just give it to an agency to take care of. Most agencies charge around $300, although the official price is $180 and you're able to do yourself. Your first time here, and with a lot of things to sort, the extra charge will be worth it for you.
You'll have other paperwork you'll want to deal with as well. Once you're situated make sure your landlord registers you with the sangkat and in the online system, get your license, etc.
Good luck popping in and out for trainings....

Thank you very much for the detailed info. I have another slightly off topic question. On my Business Visa will i run into any problems at customs with my Imac27, I need this for my work. Will i be forced to pay a large fee as duty or under a Business visa this would be okay to bring. "For work use" ? Thank you again.

You will have no issues. They don't check your bags, and you are allowed to bring in electronics. Even if you shipped an entire container of home goods you would be fine with a letter of employment, but you won't need to even think about it if you bring it on the plane with you.robrob wrote: ↑Wed Jul 29, 2020 12:35 pmThank you very much for the detailed info.
