Svay Rieng Town....
... If you haven't been before or never stopped or weren't in Cambodia twenty years ago, check it out. It's about as old skool as you can get; no traffic, big lake, shy but friendly locals, beer gardens that are more than beer gardens, okay food , one decent hotel and absolutely nothing to do.
Will exit the Kingdom tomorrow for what I hope will be quite some time.
Cheers all for the entertainment.

k440, something to do when you're pissed.
I am going in a week, what's the hotel? We were planning to drive around til we saw a decent one.
I am not going to gamble but looks like a few casino hotels.

I think the interesting bit is going where it's not a tourist attractions and seeing the lifestyle outside of phnom Penh as well as interacting with the locals, which is much different than the interaction you get in PP.

Yeah I'm with Horace on this one. Nothing to do is the most interesting part.
I have a love of wondering around these dull towns. Pretending to sample the different coffee at each store.
Sisophon is cool, so is Kompong Thom.
