Just did this yesterday, from koh kong to veal veang good road, veal veang to pramaoy (intersection where you turn to the east to go to pursat) quite bad road due to flooding damage from the rain season, and the mud was still wet at in many places and a few places the whole road was covered with water
So blew one tyre near the chinese dams as there were super sharp rocks on the road, had to get out of the car maybe 10 times to check shabby bridges, saw 1 truck bogged (they were well equipment for it though so must be common), but overall fun drive with the 4wd, especially when lot of it is downhill that direction
saw a few toyota camries too, but not quite sure how they would have got through some of the bits....

You hear what the section from.Pramoey to.Pailin was like?
Have done the KK to Pursat drag a couple times.
Pailin route would be more direct to BB.

I did it last year at the end of April with a car, but it si not worth it. It is not scenic, bad road and take long time.Just Robbed wrote:You hear what the section from.Pramoey to.Pailin was like?

I prefer to do the road from Pursat and now form Pursat to Pramoey is pretty good.

I did Batambang to Pramoy in 2010. Mostly a single track through the bush. Not possible in a car then. Things will have changed. Pramoy to Kho Kong was easy then.
Note to self: Must be nice to morons.
i did this year in April (not last year) with a car, bad but not impossible. I find it not particularly scenic and in the future i will drive through Pursat to Pramoy.LaudJohn wrote:I did Batambang to Pramoy in 2010. Mostly a single track through the bush. I don't get on the forums too often, but I made this trip a few months ago also. Fairly easy, though I had to help a sedan and a highlander that were stuck in the mud. I took the road as a "shortcut" to get to Tatai and Thmor Bang waterfalls.
I've got a few other roads in this area that I'm interested in pursuing.
I didn't particularly like the Pursay to Pramouy road, I'd rather have something more scenic.
How is the road from Samlot to Pramouy?
