I want to know if the answer on this thread are still up to date: http://www.khmer440.com/chat_forum/view ... hp?t=28959

The last guy implied that Thai can come in on visa exempt and then extend up to a year. I know that myself been a Canadian I need to do the ordinary visa and then extend it for 6 months or 1 year (we want multi-entry). But what about my thai GF? Does she need to do visa exempt at border or ordinary visa? And if the answer is ordinary visa, do they ask a lot of question? Do they ask for a lot except passport, picture, the usual! Or will they ask her bank statement, onward ticket, etc.

p.s: We will arrive from Chiang Mai by land with our 2 puppy (7 months old,9 and 10 kilos), i've been told by a lot of people that the dogs won't be a issue.

Thx!

You must be French Canadian.

Your GF may have to dress up as a dog- if all else fails.

I just crossed at Poi pet on the 1st, handed them $30,the application and a photo for my voa, no questions asked,
than over to immigration and waited in line about 5 minutes to be stamped in (just dont show up when the bus's from Bangkok, Pattaya do)

NOTE; there is a seperate Thai immigration ( dowhstairs for thai's) and upstairs for Farangs departure out of thailand
