E-visa (electronic visa) fraud
Wasn't there an expat involved in this e-visa operation? I can't remember. I'm not familiar with Cinet Technologies Co.

Go on.Playboy wrote:Ha Ha - for a whole host of reasons that has been long coming.
If an expat were fronting this operation, and the authorities determined there had been large scale financial fraud and underreporting of visa revenues collected, wouldn't said expat be in a lot of trouble?

Ah, I was hearing tales a year or so ago about some baller expat who was collecting money every time someone got an e-visa. Maybe that wasn't true.Playboy wrote:An expat was not 'fronting' the operation.
In fact they have not had an expat work there directly.
Even indirectly employed by them it has been many years since an expat was involved.

I recall that too and I read it on here, I'm sure. I can't remember the person who was supposedly getting this commission on every sale, though.gavinmac wrote:Ah, I was hearing tales a year or so ago about some baller expat who was collecting money every time someone got an e-visa. I wonder if this visa was not precipitated by the same company (the one owned by Galliano) that are doing the electronic visa thing (and getting $60 for each one)?

The one mentioned by the MoFA in the OP is only for tourists.

There is only one type of electronic visa available, the e-Visa which is a T-Type (tourist) visa only. How could someone be making $60 off a visa that only costs $36 Vlad?

I read it as charging $60 for one.PSD_Kiwi wrote:There is only one type of electronic visa available, the e-Visa which is a T-Type (tourist) visa only. How could someone be making $60 off a visa that only costs $38 Vlad?
e-Visa costs $30 plus $6 processing fee, there used to be a $3 credit card charge also but not sure about now... It definitely isn't $60 though.Miguelito wrote:I read it as charging $60 for one.PSD_Kiwi wrote:There is only one type of electronic visa available, the e-Visa which is a T-Type (tourist) visa only.
