ER or Business visa
LJ, are the MoC registered Companies registered in your name? If so, then you will legally still require a WP and EB EOS, even if in reality you do not actually work.
I'm not a negative person, I encourage people all the time...it's usually to f**k off! But, whatever.

Thanks. I will look into this. I am one of more than one shareholder in each.PSD_Kiwi wrote:LJ, are the MoC registered Companies registered in your name? If so, then you will legally still require a WP and EB EOS, even if in reality you do not actually work.
Note to self: Must be nice to morons.
Yea, not sure how that works...let us know once you find out.LaudJohn wrote:Thanks. I will look into this. Yes, the DOI told me this too, they told me if I were legally married I needed to apply through an agent because of this, not straight through them.PSD_Kiwi wrote:It is just the standard EB EOS stamped "Employment Not Permitted".
Still no dedicated Spousal/marriage/family visa. The method of obtaining an EB EOS via marriage to a Cambodian is not included in the Immigration Prakas' or Sub-decrees...but the method of obtaining one as a non-working dependent of a legally employed foreigner is.
I just wonder who has managed to get an extension straight through the DOI lately. I went to the DOI, showed them all my documents, the guy had a short chat with his boss and he told me 'OK' but to apply through lucky lucky anyway. I guess they love the 'bonus' that comes with that route.
^ Raendi recently did, paid the official price + $10 too. He started a thread about it.

I managed to get a B-EOS (1Y) with the following documents:
- Receipt of work permit (from provincial office of min of labor)
- Business license from my business in my home country with my name on it (in English)
- Family book of my wife (not legally married)
- Cambodian Birth certificate from my child
- Residency permit from my wife (Sangkat refused to offer me a residency letter, they changed their minds since though, yesterday they gave me one to get my driving license extended).
My situation:
- Not legally married
- Working for my own company based abroad
- 1 child with Khmer birth certificate
For those in a similar situation this might work. I went to the DOI first though, they told me to arrange it through Lucky Lucky. I did that. Lucky Lucky told me it wouldn't work, I told them to apply because the DOI agreed. Today I collected my passport with the new EOS.

Work permits have nothing to do with renewing your EOS.Miguelito wrote:Work permits expire on 31 December of every year, and then you need a new one by 31 March. What happens if you need to renew your EOS in January or Feb?
And not all work permits expire on Dec. 31st. Mine doesn't.

You're an idiot -- you need a Work Permit to get a 12 month EoS. That's what every other thread is about.batshitcrazyweirdo wrote:Work permits have nothing to do with renewing your EOS.Miguelito wrote:Work permits expire on 31 December of every year, and then you need a new one by 31 March. Two different ministries. But I did just check my work permit and it does expire on Dec. 31st.

That is incorrect. They won't give a Filipina a visa at the border or the airport. They get stamped in for 3 (might be 2, canny remember) weeks directly into their passports.Kachang wrote:No business visa then. She might get an ordinary visa at the airport and extend with an EG extension. It will provide her with 3 months (single entry) or 6 months (multi entry) to look for work. If she doesn't find work she has to leave the country and can enter again on a tourist visa. Or she can try the EG-route once more. Currently I have read no positive or negative stories from people trying that.elzito0072 wrote:My girl is a filipina, without any income
Visited the DOI last week, and one thing is very clear now, without paid work in Cambodia you will not be given a EB extension.
The definition of paid work is not very clear though, but for most it has to be read as working in Cambodia for a Cambodian employer. Exceptions might be made, not sure. My exception is being processed while writing this. Will report back once it's clear.
Then they can apply for the ordinary visa, and then extend that.
