Phu Quoc Ferry Recommendations

Any recommendations on the best ferry to use?

I know the Super Dong has been around for a while, but I'm thinking of taking the "VIP Catamaran", the Phu Quoc express.

I found time and prices here: https://www.phuquocislandguide.com/phu- ... les-fares/

Thanks!

Phu Quoc ain't what it used to. Most of the west coast has been developed or is being developed. However, the NW still has some nice spots. No idea on which ferry to take but I would leave from one port and return to another.

I'll be in Kep, so we're just going to drive to the border, park the car, cross over and head to the island for two night. Low expectations, but found a decent resort I think.

If you park at the Casino, pop into their new Beer garden for a drink ;)

If I have a beer there, when I come and go, think I can park there for 48 hours?

The fast ferry is great. There are too many ferries to shake a stick at nowadays. I doubt you'd have to wait more than an hour at most times even if you didn't book first. You could always put the car on the ferry.
Clean beach, but impossible to see it from the road, as it's so built up now. Great place to relax for a few days and eat excellent food, swim etc.
My new destination for the Khmer holidays.

Car on it is a possible idea too. Is it easy to cross the boréer with your car?

Could someone run me through my Phu Quoc questions:

1. As a Brit to I need a visa in advance?
2. I will have to leave the car on the Cambodian side of the border, is there a paid parking place?
3. How far is it from the border to the ferry location?
4. Which is the best area on the island when with kids who want to be entertained?
