Wife needs to show a ticket out of Thailand to get a thai visa. She will not be using the ticket as we will be flying to Europe soon after. 14 days not long enough though.
On the wall in the Thai embassy it says it can be a flight or bus ticket. Not 100% sure if in reality they would accept a bus ticket, for a visa application though??
What would be the cheapest international ticket out of Thailand then? Most tickets non refundable right?
With regards to flying, i'm thinking DMK to Siem Reap for $37 is as cheap as you are gonna get?
Cheers.

Ticket out of Thailand for obtaining Thai visa

Assuming that your wife is Khmer, a ticket back to Cambodia would look good and would be among the cheapest anyway. If you buy a cheap AirAsia ticket from Don Mueang to Siem Reap or Phnom Penh, it will be non-refundable, but you can claim the airport tax back, which is about half the price at that rate.

If she is flying onward to Europe within 60 days from Thailand ( length of the thai visa) why cant you just show that? She will not be using the ticket as we will be flying to Europe soon after.
Otherwise compare DMK to PP or SR
