Simple souvenir from Cambodia
This is kind of random, but I’ve realized a good, simple souvenir from Cambodia is a crisp 1000 Riel note.
Not my cup of tea, but it seems lots of people, and more importantly, bars, like to collect currency. Always fun to pull a 1000 out to tack on the wall. Can even get you a free 8 euro drink

To be quite honest, I never imagined you being a person carrying a 1000 riel note. But hey! Nothing wrong with that, Magoo.Miguelito wrote: ↑Sun Dec 08, 2019 5:33 amThis is kind of random, but I’ve realized a good, simple souvenir from Cambodia is a crisp 1000 Riel note.

I also learned a while ago to buy $100 worth of 1000 riel notes to keep around - they’re bloody useful in a pinch. I keep a stack in a bag in the car (don’t leave them in the open or the staff will steal some) to pay the parking guys.

I've been crying tears of laughter over the latest Viz comic.
In terms of simple souvenirs though you can't beat those little woodpeckers or toucans that dispense toothpicks. 3 dollahs and everybody loves them.

Beltei. I've heard of that place. Is it in the outer reaches of Oddar Meanchey?
I may have climbed a mountain ....... or roof there in the past. Canny mind.

Cambodia beer mug from a bar....
They get them for free from the beer supplier. Ask a nice girl there if she'll take a $ for it....Has never failed for me.....Just touch her hand with the money and pop it in your bag when the deal is done.

Why would you nut in your bag when you can just

Generic beer mugs seem so impersonal and mass produced.
Why not get your souvenir from a specific place.
A souvenir coffee mug from Pickled Parrot or Tokyo Barbershop will bring back more memories, and you can drink your beer from a coffee mug, if you so wish.
