Entered cambodia in December
I'm a little confused about the overstay waver. So here is the deal with my visa. I entered cambodia on December 9. Then extended my visa on January 9. So my T visa expired on February 9. Do I still get my overstay waved? I'm flying home next week. Lucky lucky said I was good to go and that my overstay will be waved. But another visa shop said I had to pay my overstay and that he would fix it up for $700. He also said not to go to immigration because they would make me leave that day. I think he is just scamming me. But I want to be 100% sure. Anyone deal with something like this before?

TBF seems like you are taking the piss so would be fair enough if they charged you the full amount. You could have left anytime for about 6 weeks after your leave date.
I don't think you are gonna find many similar cases

I think, if you can fully document this, for each cancel and rebook, for many cycles, that they will wave you. Fingers crossed though. The real fee waves did only come by the end of February. Early March, I had my USD 10 ready in my pocket to pay up for a deliberate 1-day overstay, though the officer did not ask for not even mention the USD 10.

That's what I'm hoping for. I have all the booking info on my booking app. Plus I trust lucky lucky more then the other visa shop. I guess I will hope for the best but have cash on hand for the worst.

Your visa expired on February 9. Didn't the flight cancellations start more than a month later?

Lucky Lucky have never seen me wrong in 10+ years- who is the other shop so we can expose the scammer?

What Lucky Lucky told him is contrary to the directive from the government that overstays will be granted to foreigners who entered after January 1.

I'll just leave the scammer unnamed. I don't want to deal with the drama of calling out a visa shop. Maybe with the rules changing so fast the shop was just misinformed.

Take care, you have everything printed on paper. They want to check and then want to keep your phone .......jonnyaustin wrote: ↑Wed Apr 08, 2020 9:38 pmThat's what I'm hoping for. I did have many chats with the lucky lucky owner. It's a decent person, who despises cheating people (foreigners included).

I would go to my embassy and explain the situation telling them I had a medical emergency and they will give you a letter to present to immigration and immigration will give you a bridging visa.

Why do you think the agency that gave you advice consistent with the government directive was "scamming" you?jonnyaustin wrote: ↑Wed Apr 08, 2020 11:09 pmI'll just leave the scammer unnamed. You entered before January 1 and pursuant to the government directive your overstay is not forgiven.
If the government wanted to forgive all overstays, it would have said that.
