Hmmm. Seems very un-Korean to play silly buggers.Felgerkarb wrote: ↑Thu Jun 18, 2020 7:30 amAnyone getting through this week? I have two separate instances of business associates that were stopped in Seoul en route to Phnom Penh for "paperwork", made to wait half a day, then their COVID certificates expired out of the 72 hour window and were sent packing.
Had they been allowed on their connecting flights, their certificates would have been inside the window by, imagine this, the time they lost waiting around for a decision after missing their flights. The airport staff were absolutely unclear on what was actually wrong. They suspect the fact that all documentation is not standardized, thus leaves wiggle room for a bureaucrat denial -- bullshit like I can't read it correctly, the format is "odd", I do not recognize any corporate logos, no "official stamp", let me get a supervisor...all the typical song and dance.
EDIT: Oh ya, forgot the best one...they argued about the COVID certificates being expired before they would arrive in PP, not factoring in the international date line. Genius.
Foreigner Quarantine on Arrival Price List
I’m hearing that there are some sick people that arrived from Malaysia and are still in quarantine. I dunno if sick necessarily means covid 19 but it seems likely. Big police presence and mask wearing officials delivering official looking documents leads me to believe that there may be a news story coming about the latest cases in Cambodia.
The only way to defete this is to ban international travel and restrict internol travel as much as possable..
If thise Koreans are doing that useing stealth, then I support that.

The Cambodian repatriation flight from Malaysia that just arrived in the last few days had a positive case, entire planeload in quarantine now.Rumors wrote: ↑Thu Jun 18, 2020 10:26 amI’m hearing that there are some sick people that arrived from Malaysia and are still in quarantine. It does make me laugh that the Cambodian Government (of all governments) can organise a repatriation flight, yet the British Embassy here can not.Felgerkarb wrote: ↑Thu Jun 18, 2020 11:26 amThe Cambodian repatriation flight from Malaysia that just arrived in the last few days had a positive case, entire planeload in quarantine now.Rumors wrote: ↑Thu Jun 18, 2020 10:26 amI’m hearing that there are some sick people that arrived from Malaysia and are still in quarantine. "We, the sons of John Company, have arrived"
Might become challenging, if they want to put 3-4 plane loads a week in quarantine. That's 1200+ people. The more lower class hotels in PP have maybe 30 rooms, so they'll need 40 hotels, to be opened in just a few days. All Sreys and Bongs having to come back from the country side, etc.Felgerkarb wrote: ↑Thu Jun 18, 2020 11:26 amThe Cambodian repatriation flight from Malaysia that just arrived in the last few days had a positive case, entire planeload in quarantine now.Rumors wrote: ↑Thu Jun 18, 2020 10:26 amI’m hearing that there are some sick people that arrived from Malaysia and are still in quarantine. Looks to me, the Cambodian Government had more focus on collecting the USD 3000 money, than for the practical implications of their decisions to quarantine a complete airplane load.
Anyone have any IDEA about Visa's the e-visa website still has a 3 month old notice posted claiming that its suspended for 30 days, that puts visa's back on May1, however international info on immigration shows different. "Visa issued by the Cambodian Embassy in the departure country". What is the process like for Visa issued by Cambodian Embassy in another country, im currently stuck in Japan was here for work trying to get back home to siem reap.

The unused portion of the deposit will be refunded after tested Negative for C19 on day 13. Not yet certain on how the refund will be issued.
Several reports of Korean Airlines denying foreigners due to paperwork not being in order, also several reports of foreigners being denied entry upon arrival in Cambodia for their documents not been in order. The Medical Certificate appears to be the main issue, a few points on the med cert from travellers experiences....Felgerkarb wrote: ↑Thu Jun 18, 2020 7:30 amAnyone getting through this week? 1 - Must be written in English, as they have stated they will not accept any other language,
2 - Must clearly state "tested negative”, that is important,
3 - Be clearly stamped by both a Doctor and a clinic, with a telephone number that they can dial in case of any concerns,
4 - Must be on official letterhead, and
5 - Literally anything else that can be done to make it official and “fancy”, the better.
The 72 hours is also a big issue...All of the official Cambodian Govt directives state "Within 72 hours of date of travel", Korean Airlines are enforcing a "72 hours within time of arrival" policy, IATA website today updated their guideline to "at most 72 hours before arrival".

I'm not a negative person, I encourage people all the time...it's usually to f**k off! But, whatever.
The only Visas currently being issued are A-type (Diplomatic), B-type (Official), C-type (Courtesy), E-type (Ordinary - Business) & K-type (Special - those of Cambodian descent) Visas.eddypeck wrote: ↑Fri Jun 19, 2020 11:33 pmAnyone have any IDEA about Visa's the e-visa website still has a 3 month old notice posted claiming that its suspended for 30 days, that puts visa's back on May1, however international info on immigration shows different. All of these visas require justification and supporting documentation. If you do not have justification & supporting documentation you cannot apply for any of the above visa types (if you were eligible for an A, B, C or K-type Visa you would know, and have the necessary documentation). Each Cambodian Embassy seems to have different requirements for supporting documentation for the E-type Visa at the moment, so best to contact them directly to clarify. http://www.cambodianembassy.jp/web2/?pa ... 24&lang=en
No T-type (Tourist) Visas, including e-Visas are being issued, no Visa exempt entry (ASEAN passport holders) & no Visas on Arrival.
The notice posted on the e-Visa website was the initial one, there have been further directives stating that theses suspensions have been extended until further notice.

me and a couple of million other hve cleared the covid hurdle and are not susceptable to relapse or transmitting to others yet there is no provision to not extort us for 3000 usd on arrival.
apparently antibody detection can prove this past covid exposure

A little-known side effect of covid19 antibodies is how it affects the brain into ignoring punctuation and capitalization. Thanks for this post, brother. This tracks with exactly what I have been hearing about the certificate and the 72 hours being interpreted differently depending on who you encounter.PSD_Kiwi wrote: ↑Sat Jun 20, 2020 12:27 amSeveral reports of Korean Airlines denying foreigners due to paperwork not being in order, also several reports of foreigners being denied entry upon arrival in Cambodia for their documents not been in order. another thing too some if us have bank acciunts in cambodia with a few thousand dollars in, with atm card and also seperately a cash card but not at the two banks that are benefiting from the extortion. once again extorting an additional 3000usd on arrival seems excessive and senseless
