Changes to travel restrictions?
Changes to travel restrictions?
Have there been any talk of or rumors of lifting some of the travel restrictions lately? I have some family I want to come here, but currently its way too difficult. Especially with visa, since they're from Denmark and there no Cambodia embassy there.

As from today tourists from countries not needing a visa can fly ( no ferries, yet) into Morocco as long as they have a negative certificate and a hotel booking. No mention of insurance nor quarantine nor testing! They need the tourist money and hopefully there won't be a big surge in cases and perhaps other countries like those in SE Asia take note.
k440, something to do when you're pissed.
Thailand will lead the way in this regard, I'm sure if their re-opening goes well the rest of SEA will follow. Thailand is the country everybody in the region models their tourism sector on. They have plans for an experimental re-opening in october.

Vietnam is mulling restarting flights with a few countries (Cambodia, Laos, Taiwan, China) this month. However, no clarification on requirements such as quarantine or insurance yet.Guest wrote: ↑Thu Sep 10, 2020 5:28 pmThailand will lead the way in this regard, I'm sure if their re-opening goes well the rest of SEA will follow. Bringing the news. You stay classy, nas, Cambodia.
Morocco is not really the country where you want to be right now, Covid-19 is spinning completely out of control, cities are closed off, etc. See John Hopkins, in the left column scroll down to around 77K infected.horace wrote: ↑Thu Sep 10, 2020 4:28 pmAs from today tourists from countries not needing a visa can fly ( no ferries, yet) into Morocco as long as they have a negative certificate and a hotel booking. According messages on Thaivisa, Thailand is working on dedicated Tourist visas, probably to attract big spender tourists. All regular tourist to be lock out until at least, the end of this year.Guest wrote: ↑Thu Sep 10, 2020 5:28 pmThailand will lead the way in this regard, I'm sure if their re-opening goes well the rest of SEA will follow. You really do need to stop making assumptions and thinking you know everything. I merely stated that Morocco is starting to open up for tourists as its economy is hurting.v12 wrote: ↑Thu Sep 10, 2020 8:42 pmMorocco is not really the country where you want to be right now, Covid-19 is spinning completely out of control, cities are closed off, etc. The virus as you put it is "spinning out of control"
in Spain and cities are being put back into lockdown too, same in France and soon to be UK.
Would I rather spend the winter in Morocco which would cold n dry or in Spain which would be cold n wet?
The former would be cheaper n more healthy but only a three month option. Have to leave Spain next March due to fuxit , anyway. So Oct ,Nov, Dec, Jan in Spain in a rented caravan pickey style then three months Maroc then three months getting towards Turkey via Eastern Europe in the spring n summer.

Jakarta goes into 2nd Lockdown next Monday. Looking grim there. Not too healthy in Myanmar either.
Just follow Ordes' advice and go to the Cambodian Embassy in Seoul, get yourself a Cambodia visa (easy peasy, also for you), get yourself flights from Madrid to Seoul, sleep on the streets in your own tent-14-days quarantine and go to Cambodia. You are welcomehorace wrote: ↑Thu Sep 10, 2020 9:36 pmYou really do need to stop making assumptions and thinking you know everything. After the summer and when the Covid-19 F-it Tourists are kicked out from Spain, it might become more Covid-19 comfortable there. Or, just go to Egypt Sharm-al-sheik or so. Sufficiently warm
Or good luck in the cold Moroccan mountains, it's cold over there, even in the summer. More Moroccan cities can be expected to go into lock-down one after the other. Casablanca, Marrakech and Beni Mellal are already in full lock-down. Even without tourists, things do get out of control, so with tourists (and return home Moroccans) even more.
Morocco has been a nightmare for repatriating stranded tourists, ask them how difficult it was to get home. That's how bureaucracy works there. Good luck
