Flying into Cambodia

A family member needs to get home. Is the cash deposit thing still operating? Is quarantine still 2 weeks? Are people arriving from Singapore or KL?
It’s all a bit academic when you can’t leave Australia unless you are rich and famous or Tony Abbott. The rich arriving here get to self quarantine in their mansion. Kylie Minogue recently and now Tom Hanks. As if the rich and famous would catch the pox anyway.
How ridiculous....

And now: an actual answer.....

SQ flights are good. Long distance was pretty empty, SIN-PP was packed. 2000 USD it is, usually 2 days quarantine, 12 days self-isolation.

Aren't your family Khmer? Different set of rules for Khmers returning, I believe.

Thanks Horace. Different rules for Khmers? Like no quarantine. One can fly Sydney PP one way for $880 so that hasn’t changed- Silk Air, with a night in Singapore.
Are you in Maroc? I was only thinking another Morocco this morning. All those orange groves on the Atlantic coast and the surf near Agadir. A great country in 1972.

Quarantine rules are the same for Cambodian nationals as foreigners but Cambodians do not need insurance and $2,000 deposits.

Cambodian passport holders also don't need a COVID test. K-visa holders need the COVID test though. I think.

Which airlines require a COVID test for all passengers even if the arrival country doesn't require it of some passengers?

The irony is your family member would be considered “rich” to the vast majority of Cambodian.
