does every meal including rice?
No fruit/No salads/ no western food at all?
I started a low carb diet, means no rice ;-(

"We are turning into a nation of whimpering slaves to Fear—fear of war, fear of poverty, fear of random terrorism, or suddenly getting locked up in a military detention camp on vague charges of being a Terrorist sympathizer." HST
The snack cart had warm cans of beer for sale but there was no fridge in the room. I did order Coke from room service a number of times, only $1.50 and they’d bring a big cup or bag of ice too with it on request. My guess is I could have ordered beer from room service but I’m not 100% sure.
I recommend bringing a spork and a sponge and laundry detergent.
I'm guessing the $10 beef chow fun is ordered separately from the menu, so you're still paying $30 per day for inedible stuff like expired bread.
Angkor beer was on the menu for $2 a pop. Maybe if you ask them really nicely and make a cute face they can switch it up to Anchor instead.

No, I opted out of the 3X a day meal packs of gruel, chicken bones, hard boiled eggs and rice.
I told them don't bring me any food, if I want food I'll call room service and order it. I asked them to confirm they would only charge me for what I ordered and they agreed.
In the daytime I would eat snacks and then I'd usually order once a day from room service for dinner. Some days I only ate snacks.
Total food expense was about $100, including Cokes and snacks. I did bring some snacks and bananas with me which I ate the first few days.
I suspect what I did isn't possible at some of the shittier chotels that don't have room service and won't let you opt out of the $10 expired bread packages.

I am not sure, if you are aware the Asian "Yes" could imply both "a real Western yes" and just "I did understand you, but I do not comply".ChrisJ wrote: ↑Tue Mar 09, 2021 4:26 pm....

And when you get out of the quarantine, you have zero control about what is charged, let alone, be able to complain somewhere.......
Looking forward hearing the result when you are released and get back the remainder of your money.
