I have a friend who is ill, suspected covid and it took 4 days for him to get his test results.
The test was given almost immediately after he was exposed and 4 days later he got the results to say that he is clear. He was told to go home and he'd get another test after a week then another after 2 weeks.
Symptoms only started 2 days after his test. Is 4 days normal for test return? Seems like an awfully long time. He's now at home feeling awful but relieved that 'he doesn't have covid'.
Maybe it's psychosomatic, maybe it's coincidence but seems unlikely. But this guy has been sent home after being exposed and showing covid symptoms.

Test turnaround seems to be dramatic at the moment, they told me "72 hours". And I would not be surprised, when this would be counting.ផោមក្លិនស្អុយ wrote: ↑Fri Apr 16, 2021 12:18 pmI have a friend who is ill, suspected covid and it took 4 days for him to get his test results.

Looks like he has Covid-19. Full quarantine, including those he has been in contact with .....
And, the PCR test turn-around time has become that long, that the test validity (72 hours) is already expired, when one gets the result.

I know English is not your mother tongue but who is he? HE as in the big boss and if so where are the links as the phrase " looks like" suggests you have seen something. Or did you mean he as in the friend mention previously and " sounds like" ?v12 wrote: ↑Fri Apr 16, 2021 7:50 pmផោមក្លិនស្អុយ wrote: ↑Fri Apr 16, 2021 12:18 pmI have a friend who is ill, suspected covid and it took 4 days for him to get his test results.
