Adverse reactions do happen. How close to an international flight would you get your first vaccine jab?
Seems being fully vaccinated would save me quite a bit of money. Too late now to get two shots before I fly. However, getting the first shot might be possible. How many days before flying should one get a jab?
Vax jab? How close to flight date?
From where are you flying? I wouldn’t take the Sinovac and then leave Cambodia unless I was flying to another country where Sinovac is available.
Departing Cambodia, probably for a year or so.
Not saying I know it it relevant, but no one considers company of origin when getting, say, a tetanus booster shot. Moreover, some evidence for viruses extant before Sars CoV2, indicates mixing and matching vaccines can provide more a more vigorous immune response resulting in not only better short term protection but also longer lasting protection. Of course, in this case the long term data doesn't exist. (But I'm assuming it is substantially safer than red-capped forest mushrooms with white flecks. Once was enough with those.)
Personally,I'm less afraid of mixing vaccine products than I am of having a bad reaction perk up during flight, and then being halted by some plastic enveloped woman with a cheap infrared thermometer in a random airport transit lounge.

I personally would not take the Sinovac vaccine unless I knew for sure that I could get both doses.Guest9999 wrote: ↑Fri Jun 11, 2021 8:51 pmNot saying I know it it relevant, but no one considers company of origin when getting, say, a tetanus booster shot.
I have not said anything about the country of origin. Sinovac is very different to Pfizer and Moderna. You haven’t said where you are going so it’s impossible to know if they have Sinovac there. A tetanus shot is a tetanus shot.
I would personally not bother taking the vaccine in Cambodia if I were you. Your dose is better spent on someone who remains in the country.
Yes, your last point hit the nail on the head.
