Good day all.
I am planning to travel to the US in November. I am vaccinated with Sinovac like many of us and was given a vaccine card with stuff in Khmer but no batch/registration number, which makes official verification tricky. Does anyone know what the situation is, or has anyone requested some kind of official approval of their vaccine? I was told that there is a WHO office somewhere to apply for a letter of vaccine verification or something like that. Didn't look into it further but if it' s true it' s a real pain.
Insights, xperiences, advice, welcome.
Cheers.

@Tony_for_now. If i understand you right you received a vaccination card (blue color ?) without a registration Number and (no QR Code ??). If that's the case it looks like you got a fake card.
The REAL blue Cambodian Vaccination Card contains your Name, Passport Number, a registration number, a QR Code that contains your picture, type of Vaccine (sinovac which as far as i know is not officially recognized in the US..............not even AstraZeneca is) and the dates and type of vaccine you received on the back of the card.
So before you even plan to go to the US better have it varified by the ministry of health.

Pretty much what Expatissimo said but the QR code doesn't really "contain" your photo. It's a web link that takes you to your entry in their online system. It doesn't always work but you can get there using the card number and your date of birth.
I don't know about the US but the UK only accepts US and EU vaccination programs (maybe one other) so it doesn't matter what vaccine you had here and what documentation you have, you'll need to quarantine at home when you arrive.

US citizens and permanent residents who are not fully vaccinated will still be able to fly to the US, but they will see tougher testing and contact tracing protocols. They will need to be tested within 24 hours of boarding a flight to the US, as well as undergo testing upon return to the country. It remains to be seen, though, how the federal government will enforce the testing requirement upon return.
