KEP Development....
KEP Development....
Seems.the Kep foreshore / beach 3km extensions are in full swing as reported earlier in the year by various media outlets.
Here is a photo taken at the Yacht Club restaurant this week.
Kep has been pretty good thus far with devlopment. At least it's been reasonablly aesthetic. If they get this right it will be super Interesting to see what happens to property prices as it becomes the go to premium seaside destination for anyone and everyone in Cambodia....assuming this fucking disease ever goes away....

I guess too many Bong Thoms already occupying the waterfront, so instead of reclaiming the state land, just add new land. Genius!
There's a few very nice houses along there including Villa Romana , KNai Bang Chat and a few others. They'll have a 50 metre strip of public land added in front of their blocks ( bad) but supposedly a new white beach will materialise so...good?
I think I'd prefer the private sea front with no beach....

That's buggered up all the romantic sunset photos on the sailing club jetty for a few years.
Wow. This wouldn’t happen in Singapore, Hong Kong or Dubai.
Disgraceful.
Disgraceful.
pew, pew, pew, pew!

Bloody hell. That's just incredible to see. Thanks for those.
Actually looks like it might be a major win for everyone! Landowners pick up beachfront. Khmer pick up more beach for cruising. Tourism gets more beach etc
As long as they dont highrise the seafront....

Is the new beach all down that side? So the crab market shacks will retain their quirky crappiness?

So my papa was wrong when he said to me, put your money into land cause they are running short of it and God dont make it any more.
From what I can tell the "new Beach" will stop at the crab market.
Or possibly what you might see is they will take the new beach all the way around to the main beach and the shacks will all be moved forward to the new shorelines ?

Unfortunately you can bet they will. They aren't creating a new beach for altruistic reasons.
Romantic Cambodia is dead and gone. It's with McKinley in the grave.
The PM’s daughter acquired Villa Romanea and bulldozed it like a year ago. It’s almost like she knew something was coming…ricecakes wrote: ↑Tue Dec 07, 2021 1:06 pmThere's a few very nice houses along there including Villa Romana , KNai Bang Chat and a few others. If it’s just a beach, then of course it could be alright. But you don’t think they’ll be building anything on that at any point?

Wont happen, Just north of crab market is a some kind of official place and just south of the crab market they have put in a whole bunch on new shops (coffee shop, restaurant, even a massage place) across from where the boats pull in and theres another 20 or so empty still.
Fine with me if they do a nice job and it brings in more shops ( do i dream a 7/11?), more eating options ( severely lacking in Kep) its going to be much wider than the current beach , wonder if they will sell off spots as they did at the main beach ( upwards of $20,000)

Let's see.
Wouldn't it be funny / tragic if they Do extend the beach along the front of the OLD crab shacks and then build another row of NEW crab shacks. All those Pastis swilling French cunts will be left high and dry
