Business Visa Help
Business Visa Help
I have been trying to get to Cambodia for awhile now, I heard they were issuing business visas for expats but I've since called the embassy and they have told me without support documents or a job offer from a Cambodian business or organization that it is impossible to get a 1 year business visa. That being said, I do NOT plan to work. I have my own online thing going on.
I come here in complete desperation to ask this having exhausted all embassy routes and other routes of interest.
My main question: Does anyone know how I can get my hands on a 1 year business visa to Cambodia prior to arrival? yes i am unvaccinated, Yes I have to pay a $2,000 USD quarantine.
Or is it possible for me to get a business visa after my quarantine has ended?(I prefer not to do this incase I get thrown out after two months, its not economically sound to pay $2,000 USD for a 2 month stay.
Any help appreciated

1. There is no such thing as a 1 year Business Visa. You can apply for the E-type (Ordinary) Visa (often incorrectly referred to as the Business Visa) in advance from a Cambodian Embassy or Consulate, this is valid for 3 months to use for entry, and you are only granted a 1 month period of Stay upon arrival. You can then apply for a 12 month EB (Business) EOS (Extension of Stay) once in Cambodia.
2. The criteria for obtaining the E-type Visa in advance varies from Embassy to Embassy, unfortunately most are requiring applicants to provide business/employment related supporting documentation, if you can't meet their criteria, then no E-type Visa.
3. There are many dodgy c**nts selling supporting documentation for a ludicrous price...it is fraudulent and if discovered you not only risk being denied the Visa, but also possible blacklisting... proceed at your own risk if approached.
4. Currently you cannot convert from a Tourist Visa to an E-type Visa in country.
5. It doesn't sound as if your requirement to get here is urgent, just wait a while, it is likely Visas on Arrival will be available again soon.
P.S. there is no quarantine if you are fully vaccinated, unless coming from one of 10 Southern African Nations.

I'm not a negative person, I encourage people all the time...it's usually to f**k off! But, whatever.
@psd_kiwi
It’s hard to keep up.
I heard last month that tourist visas issued in 2021 could be converted to E visas and/or extended. Was that not true? Or was it true but only lasted a few weeks and now they are back to the old rule of no converting from T to E? Is there any rhyme or reason to allowing it then promptly disallowing it?

@superguest ...it was true for a period, but then the DoI said only for people who entered the country on a Tourist Visa up until the 15th Nov...no rhyme or reason, probably just confusion

Yeah, some old farts on K440, being proud to dodge the rules and persisting they don't need a WP to get their EB extended. LOL.

Lol indeed.
One time I renewed at immigration place across from airport. Without a WP (gasp!), But it was a pain in the ass so now just use an agent. No dodging done. All in plain sight.
I'll let you into a little secret...Those married to a local can extend E type without a WP. Those working for an international NGO can extend without a WP. There are probably other categories also, but that's just for starters.
Hmmm, you really think, IF the file is being reviewed, things hold strong ?ផោមក្លិនស្អុយ wrote: ↑Thu Dec 09, 2021 7:14 pm....

That's no secret, though, do you have any idea what such a "happy" marriage will cost you (or maybe me), when the "happy" is over ?ផោមក្លិនស្អុយ wrote: ↑Thu Dec 09, 2021 7:14 pmI'll let you into a little secret...Those married to a local can extend E type without a WP.
Yeah, could be, though that does not apply for most people, not to those, just drinking the whole day.ផោមក្លិនស្អុយ wrote: ↑Thu Dec 09, 2021 7:14 pmThose working for an international NGO can extend without a WP. There are probably other categories also, but that's just for starters.

Who are these people drinking all day, that you keep mentioning?
Most regulars on here have jobs.

That's some sad-ass shit. Who the fuck drinks all day?
Romantic Cambodia is dead and gone. It's with McKinley in the grave.
Hey...don't judge

So let me get this straight...
If you are married to the mob....
You enter on 3 month tourist visa
You extend to EOS 12 MONTH visa at expiry of 3 months by visiting opposite the airport with..I assume...proof of marriage etc.
And can keep doing that? Extending the EOS every 12 months

When I used Lucky Lucky (last time 2020), I took all docs needed, they only wanted a copy of marriage cert (which is difficult to photocopy due to size) and a copy of wife's national ID.ricecakes wrote: ↑Fri Dec 10, 2021 7:02 amSo let me get this straight...

2021 I went through a bong at the Min of Imm and all he wanted was my passport and hard cash.
My WP is still at MoLVT, didn't bother picking it up since last March because I couldn't be arsed.

Thanks Pedros
So..for those of us lucky enough to be married to the mob....it's basically still like the old days where you can just extend for twelve months annually without leaving the country etc. $280?

All visa are valid for three months on entry you’ll get 30 days.
Only 1 and 3 month EB require a WP.
Some agents claim they can extend new T visa to EB. That’ll change.
