Jobs for Non-White People
We all know it, and we can't avoid the giant (colored) elephant in the room: white people are given preference (some without a valid reason / qualifications) for all the good jobs in marketing, management, even teaching.
So can you suggest good companies / industries where race doesn't really matter so much? And how to successfully integrate in a mostly-white atmosphere? Any good tips?
Needless to say, if a white person writes, "Racism? What racism?" - I will shoot them.
I know some people use different names on resumes, etc. Perhaps talking on the phone FIRST helps, too, yes?
In what companies / industries does race matter the least? Just pure competency?
Thanks for your advice.
Nice to Whitey until They Seem Me

Technical competency in the automotive and/or heavy equipment industries
If Srey Mom or Rattana can demonstrate technical competency (especially via internal certification from major auto brands) and a decent command of English, they could work most places in ASEAN at a salary level at least three times that of the average TEFL jobber.
There is a regional war going on between the different brands right now to attract and retain technical staff - especially diagnostic technicians.

the obvious answer is Telesales.
I know I'm unloveable. You don't have to tell me. I don't have much in my life, but take it - it's yours.

Yes. It's always a good idea to use a fake name on your resume.
Fake name and throw in a fake whitey pic, you should be off to a good start.

Wouldn’t that be telling a "white lie"?logos wrote:Fake name and throw in a fake whitey pic, you should be off to a good start.
My posts are just jokes, maybe they're rude, offensive, and politically incorrect. They're not my opinion, viewpoint, idea, or judgement, but they're just fucking jokes so lighten up.

I think certain presentations are quite forgivable. I'm not saying misrepresentation, I'm saying a unique presentation is often in order to explain unique backgrounds with extra experience, quite often international / multilingual, not your typical "whitebread" worker.
I know after people talk to me, they are quite favorable. Or if they read my work. But often, not always, but with less experienced people, people may assume the least common denominator about me, to their everlasting embarrassment. I'd like to save them that feeling.
I'm good and I know it, but meeting new people requires them to either read about my accomplishments, see my photos, or to have someone else sing my praises. By myself, I must admit, I'm too humble / laid -back to present myself in a manner fitting my abilities. I guess I should just dress up, but it's hot out here ...

^What accomplishments? You're a two bit VOIP telesalemen fogging some BS deals and only in Cambodia because Skype's free you can't afford to live elsewhere.
You're about as confident as a deaf man farting.

Race is not really an issue here, as much as people (white) tend to think it is. As the others have said, you're not getting jobs because people think you're a bellend.

Garry Penistree and Refluxmine,
You have to learn to read English before commenting.
Never did I write I had a hard time getting work.
In fact, I get hired the first day I apply, usually, so I'm taking my time a bit.
Also some other options online as well.
Is English your first language?
Anyways, I will not deign to answer your STUPID insinuations. I will gladly make you look STUPID though, just for fun.
That is what people of my caliber do to you "normies," not even trying.
Anyways, down with trashy people, don't you agree? They don't deserve to be here. What do you think? I think most people generally agree here.
I'll make you look like a third world monkey, haha!
But I prefer to stay on-topic. My accomplishments include scaling the Himalayas and visiting every country along the Mekong, minus Tibet (I went on the Nepalese side).
I've traveled half the world and speak 3 languages very well, and I can survive in 2 other languages. Both Romance and Asian families of languages.
I've been to every major province in Cambodia, Vietnam, and Thailand. I still love Laos. Myanmar was beautiful. I've been asked to write for both the Lonely Planet and the Bangkok Post.
I have been to two wars, and returned unscathed.
I have ridden in vehicles of all sorts I prefer not to talk about, in dangerous countries with mines and snipers.
I've taken up off-road motorbiking with nary an incident. I have one of the strongest mass-produced bike ever made.
I've been to Western and Southern Europe, loved it. I've taken to French gastronomy, and I know how to live it up a bit.
I've even been in a movie screened at CANNES 2015, in a minor speaking role.
I've studied religious texts and completed several Vipassana meditation retreats.
I've supported a local orphanage for several years now. Now they are supporting me, haha.
What have you scumbags done?
