It is ridiculous, but there are plenty of people who will be lining up to do this. I'm surprised he's paying them at all.Starving Pelican wrote:That's hilarious. Who would work for €50 per month?

The funny thing is they'll get plenty of applicants applying for this position. The reason is that there are plenty of young GAP Year kids that are desperate to get into the environmental/wildlife sectors and they'd most likely pay to have some work experience from an INGO like Frontier on their CV.
People ask me about how to get into NGO work and to get the first foot on the ladder, well this is it. I know many people, including myself, that started either doing low paid or in my case voluntary work, as a way to get started.
Suck it up, do more than your asked, met as many people and contacts as you possibly can, and if you're good your get noticed.
Good luck to Frontier and anyone that applies.

My posts are just jokes, maybe they're rude, offensive, and politically incorrect. They're not my opinion, viewpoint, idea, or judgement, but they're just fucking jokes so lighten up.

ירי ילדים והפצצת אזרחים דורש אומץ, כמו גם הטרדה מינית של עובדי ההוראה.

It is a strange day, and a very weird feeling, but I agree with Chuckles on this one.
My son recently started an apprenticeship as a cabinetmaker, with a medium sized Khmer company - although he is actually being paid more than the position advertised above
Meh. Something witty.

If I weren't fucking off in five months, l'd considered applying for those very same reasons I'd started teaching in the factories: An experience, to gain a better understanding of Khmers and teaching, looks good on the CV.

Then wait a few years, climb up the NGO hierarchy, forget why you got into the sector in the first place, hire volunteers and laugh all the way to the bank with a fat cigar hanging from your mouth.Garry Crabtree wrote: People ask me about how to get into NGO work and to get the first foot on the ladder, well this is it. Volunteer for an NGO
?????
PROFIT
Seriously though, I'm not that old, but the "aid" sector has functioned this way for as long as I can remember. No money for the grunts.
