TEFL and Trading Stocks with reliable Internet Connection
One of the reasons that Cambodia is so cheap is because there is basically nothing to do here. Work, drink and, in your case, trade (although - on the positive side- since that will largely occur at night given the time difference, it will reduce your drinking time). I know a few people in a situation similar to your's (minus the phenomenal trading profits), and they all left due to to a state of semi-permanent boredom (including when at work teaching equally bored students). Also if, after endless hours of tedium and loneliness, you pick up a gf the probability will be that she is a bar-girl who will devote her well-honed abilities to spending what little money you have earned. And finally you also need private insurance, which will cost a few thousand. There is also a technical issue - if you become a resident of Cambodia, it is possible that your broker might no longer wish to have you as a client for certain legal reasons. Either find out beforehand, or don't inform them of your change in residency.

I trade the stock market & time zones aren't a problem if you're dedicated. As long you have a decent platform to trade on, the least of your worries will be the internet connection here. However the times the connection has been down I use my mobile phone as the hotspot.
Personal opinion, but if you can build your capital back up after the divorce I wouldn't even consider the teaching job if your swing trades are anything to go by. Some of my recent swing trades have been slightly longer than anticipated but it's to be expected, some trades have been horrendously fucked up, but almost 3yrs in PP and despite this year being my worst trading year to date (add in self-doubt), I do enjoy it. Plus I don't have any cunt to report to.
Best of luck.

It's never too late to be nice, unless you die.

Did the OP carry out his plan to move to Cambodia, teach English, and trade stocks?

How can someone make money trading stocks in the long run when investment firms have teams of elite programmers and financiers who use algorithms and AI to discover pricing discrepancies?
I knew a goofball who went to a seminar and tried his hand at day trading for about six weeks. He ended up making a little money because the stock market was doing well but that was pure luck. If he had simply invested in stocks then he would've saved time and money on commissions.
