Some people seem to have taken offence to the ad so I've removed it, or what I can of it. That was not all my intention and the job offer was very legitimate, completely safe and not at all intended to take advantage of anyone in a vulnerable position, that is definitely not something we would ever do. My sincerest apologies for any offence that might have been caused.

What is the name of your training and marketing company? Do you think abortion is right or wrong?expat96 wrote:Hi there!
I work for a training and marketing company based in Phnom Penh and one of the services we offer to our clients in order to assess how well their business is performing is Mystery Shopping.
At the moment, we are seeking a LOCAL woman who is less than 12 weeks pregnant to conduct a mystery shop for us regarding an abortion enquiry at a well known and highly regulated local clinic.
We will coach you through the task beforehand and provide you with a questionnaire to fill out at the end to determine the results of your mystery shop.
The task involves absolutely no invasive procedures and you will not be put in any high pressure situations. $10 remuneration will also be offered for your time.
If this sounds like something you could do or you know someone who might be able to help, please contact Alix at [email protected]
Thanks!
Lets take advantage of a local and offer them $10.00 to "???," fill in the blanks as required.
Ethics,
Yes it's an old word and seemingly out of date as of now.

I refuse to go out with nothing more than a whimper followed by a small farting sound and a shit stain on my bed sheets..
Just thought I'd share that with you.

At 12 weeks a woman wouldn't really be showing anyway - is it entirely necessary to use a pregnant woman to do the job? Just curious.
Not that I'm volunteering, my cross-dressing days a long gone!

Just a guess, but it might be "The Idea"chkwoot wrote:What is the name of your training and marketing company?expat96 wrote:Hi there!

The most offensive thing about it was the paycheck.expat96 wrote:Some people seem to have taken offence to the ad so I've removed it, or what I can of it. Let me clear a few things up..
• The reason I advertised for a local woman is because the clinic is a local NGO and all of their clients are local so it wouldn’t make sense to hire a foreigner for the job.
• Our mystery shoppers are usually volunteers but as the requirements for this one are quite specific, we were offering a small amount of compensation by the way of $10 for an hour, maximum, of the woman’s time. It wasn’t a low pay offer to try and take advantage of a vulnerable and pregnant local and I should have expressed that more clearly.
• The job we’re doing is actually to ensure the services that the NGO is offering are the best they can be and like I said in the ad, there would be absolutely no invasive procedures or high risk situations involved, rather 3-4 simple steps to follow in order to get a video recording of the scenario for us to assess and report back to the NGO.
• The job does not reflect my or the company’s personal position on abortion, nor are we trying to influence anyone in any way, quite the opposite actually.
• The mystery shopping is doing a public service to ensure the best possible healthcare is being provided to local women.
I hope that clears some things up and helps you to understand the intentions behind the post. Again, my apologies for the misunderstanding and any offence caused.

If my wife was pregnant, and I asked her to mystery shop an abortion clinic, she would immediately think that I wanted her to have an abortion. Then, if I told her that she could earn TEN WHOLE US DOLLARS!!!...well let's just say that my life would be pretty shitty for awhile.
Maybe a better understanding of the local culture is what your company needs. Good luck!

Someone needs to 'mystery shop' this organization to see what they are really up too. Probably some kind of 'religious' anti abortion nuts

They might do some kind of non-invasive scan at the consultation or listen for a baby heartbeat or something. I don't know, I've never had an abortion.Miguelito wrote:Why does the woman have to be pregnant. Couldn't a non pregnant woman go in and just say she was 2 months pregnant?
