Any Pawn Shops in PP or SR?
I was wondering about pawn shops. Are there any? If so, do they have good stuff?
If not, it might be a good business. People who lose all their money at Naga World can pawn or sell their valuables when they are desperate for cash.
What do you think?

If it's neither here nor there, then where the hell is it?
i was talking with friend about pawn shops the other day, we agree its a gap in the market. Problem is its very capital intensive, and i aint got no capital

There is a massive informal pawn network throughout the city. Especially at Naga.

It's one of the mainstays of the black economy here. Never any problem shifting stolen goods, as I learned when I had to retrieve my laptops. My wife was a pawnbroker at a casino - nice work, until she got arrested. Oops.
I came, I argued, I'm out
Recommendation please for reputable pawn shop that does not knowingly buy or sell stolen/lost goods. I want to buy second hand precious metals. I just boughtban American style silver bracelet at a discount in Poipet. I have approached both jewellery sellers and jewellery makers. No one seems to have much if anything in second-hand. I want to reduce cist. I couldn't care less whether gold is brand new or taken off a corpse.

That's like looking for a drug dealer that pays his taxes. It's a pawn shop. In Cambodia. You do the math(s).
I recommend Rattanak, Calmette or just head to Russian Market and buy a sharp knife!hermespan wrote: I want to reduce cist.
I'd do it for him, but I've been known to sell lost goods, so I don't meet his criteria.rebo wrote:I recommend Rattanak, Calmette or just head to Russian Market and buy a sharp knife!hermespan wrote: I want to reduce cist.

that's because most jewelry is either cheap and worthless or expensive and maintains it's resale value well enough that if you return it, with the receipt you bought it with, you can literally exchange it for full value. cash refunds by that method still only hit you for like a 2-4% restocking charge. when jewelry isn't marked up 60% above it's value, you can't do much in the way of offering pawn services for it.hermespan wrote:Recommendation please for reputable pawn shop that does not knowingly buy or sell stolen/lost goods. most of the pawn stuff here i've seen focuses on motos/cars and "financing" both for those who don't have the cash to buy them outright. seems like the default rate on pawns is pretty low.
Those who begin coercive elimination of dissent soon find themselves exterminating dissenters. Compulsory unification of opinion achieves only the unanimity of the graveyard.
