Tonle Sap River fast boat PP <=> SR details
When in the year does it operate?
Can it be caught from Battambang?
How much does it cost?

I don't know what ferry you mean, the only ferries I know of are just ones that cross rivers, they don't do long journeys.
Romantic Cambodia is dead and gone. It's with McKinley in the grave.
the fast boat between SR and PP (ferries go between points so you probably could have deciphered this LL)
No, ferrries generally go across rivers (from side to side not up and down the river). The English Channel (La Manche) isn't a river but you can see why the boats that take cars and people across are called ferries; they don't go east/west and west/east along the sea, they ferry people back and forth between England and France/Belgium etc.Dengchao wrote:the fast boat between SR and PP (ferries go between points so you probably could have deciphered this LL)
Your new title of this thread still needs to be changed if you want a few more answers (or start a new thread if that's allowed). It still suggests a ferry across the Tonle Sap. You get that from near Naga Casino to the eastern riverbank opposite and vice versa. It costs about 500 riel, I think. You can take your car (I think) or bike on it with you. That's a ferry. Ferries are often used where no bridge exists.

EDIT: I didn't see that you'd changed the title of your post. Change the title of the thread to the same [Tonle Sap fast boat SR <=> PP details] and possibly add a question mark/point.
and - seeing as you're probably thinking, "Go to Hell, you pedantic prick" ... Charon (mythology) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. Charon is the ferryman of Hades who carries souls of the newly deceased across the river Styx.
I really am trying to help. I just don't know much about the PP to SR boats. There is information on this site already; a search for "torpedo" might set you rolling (down the river!)
All this is not ferry helpful.......
no. all the non mookey stuff was not helpful. I clicked on the thread
to find out about the boat that mookey was talking about. The one you
would think of if YOU READ THE TITLE.
I wanted to know about the car-ability of the boat. And are there roads on
the other side ? Better to just bring a moto ? Is there any plots of bare
land over there that might have a for sale sign ?

As far as I'm concerned a ferry is a boat that takes passengers and vehicles across rivers/channels/straits etc. Those cigar shaped speedboats that go between Phnom Penh and Siem Reap are not ferries.

That'll be the Wiseman's Ferry then?Username Taken wrote:.
And when taking the ferry it's always wise to not pay the ferryman until you reach the other side.
Look here maybe..

Just forget the boat. It's a claustrophobia inducing, diesel inhaling, all day affair. Sitting on the roof is better, but you'll burn your face off. It's not all that picturesque either. They can stop running during the hot season as they have a tendency to go aground. I last took it 8 yrs ago and it was $12 or so. Now it's 30 something. Just take the bus, share a taxi, or minibus. The roads to SR are much better now.
I looked into it a couple of years back and got the impression it wasn't running anymore.
It doesn't go to Battambang. It goes from Siem Reap (or as close as you can get) to Phnom Penh. The Battambang-Siem Reap run is a different boat and a worthwhile (if only once) trip.

Some men you just can't reach. So you get what we had here last week, which is the way he wants it... well, he gets it. I don't like it any more than you men.
Best I can find quickly on here ...Dengchao wrote:
