if it was just about knowledge then google may well suffice....but it's also about the application of that knowledge to the particular circumstances and YOU the patient....why we sometimes put value on the relationship...andreahoch3 wrote:Lucky Lucan wrote:

What do they actually study all those years? lol

Are you a doctor, badboyhubby? I am sorry to say that but I have had so many bad experiences with doctors and dentists that I actually am asking myself the above question. But then again, I have had two heart surgeries, and obviously, the doctors did a good job as I am still alive ^^badboybubby wrote:if it was just about knowledge then google may well suffice....but it's also about the application of that knowledge to the particular circumstances and YOU the patient....why we sometimes put value on the relationship...andreahoch3 wrote:Lucky Lucan wrote:

Urgh, spigzy! Looks not too good. I'd still wish for an elevator right now though
diamond lady, cute, did you just say CUTE? I don't know how to insert images. I have tried that before but I got impatient and let it be. How can I do it? Do I have to upload the picture first? Actually, the cast is NOT cute but UGLY. I am ashamed! Have to put something to cover it once I make it to a public place again!

it wasn't meant as a defence of doctors but of good practice...

@Andrea: How can a cast on a baby toe be anything but cute? : ) Still surprised they gave you a cast though...I broke a wee toe many years ago (far out, did it hurt!) and was told to just take it easy. Easier said than done when you're bipedal...
If it were me, I'd get a pedicure so that all the non-broken toes look fabulous. I had an eggshell blue pedi recently and it made me smile every time I looked at it.

1. You don't need a cast.
2. You need a splint, and to strap it up, but not too tightly.
3. Try and keep your foot inclined up,especially when you sleep, it will heal faster
4. Foot injuries take a long time to heal, because you're always putting weight on them
5. Depending on your age, I would say you're looking at a minimum of 6 months to a year before you feel no pain

You are stupid and fucking wreckless with your health if you think a doctor from Cambodia is better than Westerners with Google.andreahoch3 wrote:What do they actually study all those years? lolLucky Lucan wrote:More than once I've been to see a doctor who just looked up the condition in a book or checked the internet. Thanks for the proper answers. The rest, whatever, I asked a simple question and I wanted to know from YOUR experience, not from Google.
From the Naga Clinic they brought me to the Aurora Clinic for an x-ray but it cost me USD20... wtf!!! And they even forgot to give me the photo and I was so confused I didn't think about that. So had to get another moto driver to get that for me....
Cheers!
Ha! You definitely don't need a cast. That is actually comical.
Toe cast, or full leg cast...diamond lady wrote:Please post a photo of your toe cast...sounds weird and cute! : )
I suspect the latter.

I broke the lttle toe twice, nothing to worry about. It will become red than green and blue and it will hurt for two weeks. Just ignore it or take some painkillers (you´re in the right country for that) and it will go away. Takes about 6 month until you don´t feel anything anymore like another poster said. Wish you all the best

Every body is different. I definitely didn't experience 6 months of pain after breaking my wee toe (more like a few weeks), but did experience discomfort up to 8 months after breaking some ribs.

Google is actually great for researching medical information. If you're not stupid and you're capable of understanding some of the more sophisticated medical journals, you can really learn as much as any doctor about any medical condition in about six hours.
Obviously you've never gone to WebMD.com and self-diagnosed yourself, coming to the diagnosis that you either have Bubonic Plague or the common cold.
Perhaps a walking stick would help to keep the pressure off the break whilst it heals
