Hi all,
Anybody can advise on shipping a low cc motorbike (Honda FTR 223) from Phnom Penh to Europe (companies, costs, process, etc..)?
Thanks in advance!

have you got the import docs for the bike?
Bond: "Forgive me, Father, for I have sinned."

Hi James,
I don't know what the import docs for the bike are because I have not talked to any shipping company yet, but if you can throw some light at it I would appreciate it

When you brought the bike did you receive the import document?.... its a basic document from the Customs Dept which shows the tax has been paid on the bike when it was originally imported?
I would suggest anyone buying a bike or car get this.... if you don't have it then you don't have a snowballs chance in hell of ever exporting it out of the country.
If you have it.... then we can talk.

James, do you work in T&L, or have you shipped a bike abroad before.

yes and yes... check out our banner above.
you will need to measure the bike L x W x H to get the total Cubic Meter.
Rate is USD 220.00 per CBM ex Phnom Penh to Barcelona, Spain... inclusive of all customs formalities, local pick up, ocean freight and local charges.
I would suggest you get the bike crated up either wooden crate or steel crate for protection, its cheap to make here... probably about USD 100.00 (as a guess) i can get you a quote once you give me the exact dimensions.
Once arrived in Spain you will be required to clear customs and pay any duties if applicable... not sure on those charges at this stage.
If you confirm to proceed i can get that info from my agent.. But would expect about 300 ++ EURO at least.

Would it be possible to ship a very old bike that has no import papers? say from the 1960's?

I assume, given the inflated vehicle pricing in Cambodia, you can easily buy a similar bike in Europe for far less money then you'll get when selling in Cambodia. Let alone the shipping costs to Europe. Of course assuming you aren't emotionally attached to that piece of metal.European79 wrote:Hi all,

Shipping the other way around seems more logical......
