Those who begin coercive elimination of dissent soon find themselves exterminating dissenters. Compulsory unification of opinion achieves only the unanimity of the graveyard.

From experience trying to get ultralights into the country, it will cost you an arm and a leg to get them into Cambodia not to mention headaches. As it flies it will be deemed an air craft and will be taxed heavily as they see it as a commercial vehicle which will require the clearance from the State Civil Aviation Secretariat. Ministry of Defence and so on. PM if you want more details.

They would be much easier to make them here, if you could find the aircraft tubing, and just bring in the props and chutes .
i'm the one who has to die when it's time for me to die, so let me live my life the way i want to
Thanks for the responds all!
I would order it from the states, i will go there first for some training on it, then they will send it here by UPS. it will come in all seperate pieces in 6 boxes.
Most likely i will have to collect the goods from the left side of the post office. They will probaly ask tons of questions and want to know exactly what it is, yes i can say its a fan or something like that, but they wont be that stupid and i will have to be prepared for that they will find out exactly what it is.
The dealer will also put an invoice on it with the dealers price, so a much lower price than the actual purchase price. so if i will get taxed it will hopefully be based on that price, but who knows.
Also about not being safe, they are extremely safe, especially this one i am buying is the state of the art quality piece, its more dangerous to be on the back of a moto than to be riden this on in the air, especially in Cambodia!
I informed my lawyer about what i am doing and we will check with the ministry of tourism and commerce in the nearby future to be fully licensed.
Thanks!
Raz: i send you a pm!

The best of luck with the project and I'd love to hear how it goes, but,
This is not a passenger operation, I hope?fritspaap wrote:i will go there first for some training on it
Yes, since this one has a wing, the moto doesn't. The danger isn't in the air, but when and where you hit the ground.fristpaap wrote:its more dangerous to be on the back of a moto than to be riden this on in the air

I can't wait to see which box they lose! I hope it's one of the six you can live/fly without!
I don't think that death trap and "safe" belong in the same book, much less the same sentence!

Never underestimate the power of stupidity in the Kingdom of Wonder. Not trying to put down the general population, but the post office is generally staffed by completely illiterate, pig-ignorant fucking imbeciles.fritspaap wrote: ...they wont be that stupid and i will have to be prepared for that they will find out exactly what it is.
Romantic Cambodia is dead and gone. It's with McKinley in the grave.

You will need a pilot license. Might be PPL with probably something like an UltraLight rating. This implies you will have to fulfill the airplane regulations AND pay they navigation fees on your flights.
There were two UltraLight organizations (one in Siem Reap, one in Kampong Speu). Both stopped their business, because of excessive navigation fees for flying around in the Kingdom.
Even the local Kingdom private flying club relocated to Thailand, because of the excessive charges, see:

Check their comments in red, something this openly can be considered a huge loss of face, and despite they published this.

Getting anything sent in to Cambodia using UPS will cost you dearly . There have been several threads on this .
UPS cannot arrange customs clearance , they will just give you the paperwork for the goods , you will then need to contract a broker to do the clearance , negotiate the import taxes etc
You are far better to use either DHL or Fedex as they are also customs brokers and will give you a informal
clearance if you request at a hugely reduced rate .
