Red Bullshit Pull Tabs
Red Bullshit Pull Tabs
I've been asking people that I notice who drink Redbull if they've ever won anything or heard of anyone winning anything, like a free drink or anything else, from one of the pull tabs.
No one has ever mentioned they've gotten anything other than a thank you.
I feel like I'm chasing the dragon here. I keep buying more and more 6-packs, knowing that I'll stop if I can just get one free can and be at ease.
It's claimed on the side of the can that there should be at least 600,000 free drink winners. No way.
With Angkor/Cambodia beer, it seems like you win a free can about 1 in 10 times or so.
My last 6-pack didn't even have the អរគុណ printed underneath any of the tabs. It's like they just stopped trying to put on the charade altogether.
Have you ever won anything from the Red Bull cans?

I've downed maybe 50 cases in my life here? Not sure exactly, but a ton, and no winner.

I've been serving jagerbombs, vodka and redbull and plain redbull up to people for three years and three months.
Never seen a winning ringpull.

The one brand that seemed to give away the most winnings was Beer Cambodia.
For a while it seemed like it was 50/50 (literally, and yes, I'm using the word "literally" correctly) to win a free can.
You were almost disappointed and shocked when you didn't win.

Ganzenberg is getting popular cos it has a lot off free can pull-tabs.
I never drink Red Bull so no idea on that one, but a lot of these promotions are BS.

Romantic Cambodia is dead and gone. It's with McKinley in the grave.
Just because a brand launches a promo to giveaway X00,000 Honda Roadkill doesn't mean they will follow a strict time limit for the promotion, it could be 6 months or could just have no real time commitment to the number of prizes i.e. more like a dream goal.
One whiskey/wine company started giving away 500 Fords but had planned it over a 5 year period to get maximum benefit. Those guys actually did give them all away by the end of the 5 years which is great if you like funny tasting local spirits.

Ironically I just changed the oil in my bike this morning and won a free dollar and a card written in Japanese saying "congratulations".
Cosmic oil at least "pays out".

Same with the sweetened condensed milk promotions. My wife was talking to a seller, who said in the years she has been selling them, case after case after case, she has never had a customer win even a riel.
Beer on the other hand. They tend to put out when they are trying to establish a foot hold in the market.

Some men you just can't reach. So you get what we had here last week, which is the way he wants it... well, he gets it. I don't like it any more than you men.

I won 10,000 riel from a can of that stuff one day. It wasn't me who checked the label, I didn't even know they had a promotion.MoodyMac wrote:Same with the sweetened condensed milk promotions. I'll pass that info onto the old lady at the market. She's obviously an unlucky seller and we might avoid her from now on.Lucky Lucan wrote:I won 10,000 riel from a can of that stuff one day.
