Cambodian Passport
Cambodian Passport
I am in Bangkok with my girlfriend and I have noticed that the Cambodian's did not stamp my girlfriends passport on leaving the country at Poipet. They stamped her arrival card. We were "fast tracked". The Cambodians stamped me out but did not finger print me. Has she or have we got a problem?
No problem for either of you, as long as you were BOTH stamped IN to Thailand (which it seems you were).
Please take my word on this, as trying to "correct" it will probably cause more harm than good.

This is the usual process. I have used my Cambodian passport a few times in Poipet. They usually just fingerprint me and I'm done. The Thai side won't stamp your passport if you weren't cleared on the Cambodian side.
Hi Virak. Thank you for the information. No fingerprint or photograph taken, just a stamped blank arrivals card.
On arrival at Thai border, the Thais don't stamp passports anymore - only arrival cards.
They seem to have computers now on all check-points.
But Cambodia still stamped me out and in (departed two weeks ago - returned yesterday).

If ur not getting both stamps something is wrong.
"We are turning into a nation of whimpering slaves to Fear—fear of war, fear of poverty, fear of random terrorism, or suddenly getting locked up in a military detention camp on vague charges of being a Terrorist sympathizer." HST
We are safely back in Cambodia. We crossed over the border at Koh Kong today. They seemed to take a long time to process me, I suspect it may have been because I was not finger printed or photographed out. Anyway, I would like to say thank you to everyone who took the time to give advice and reassurance.
Four entries to Thailand in the last three weeks, one by air three by land. All of them generated stamps. If you enter Thailand and don't get a stamp you are at their mercy, don't let it happen.ChefSamba wrote:On arrival at Thai border, the Thais don't stamp passports anymore - only arrival cards.
