Hi,
I have a French passport with a K-Visa allowing me multiple entries/permanent stay, written in Khmer that my mom is Khmer.
I don't speak much Khmer (a little bit) and I don't look like a Khmer (much more a Chinese).
People told me that going to Angkor temples it is free because I have this K-Visa. Same for Beng Melea temple.
I've seen this video and the guards didn't let this group enter:
My questions are:
- If I show the guards at each temple my French passport with the K-Visa, will they let me in?
- Do I need a special stamp on my K-Visa? If yes, do I need to ask it at the airport?
- Anyone been in the same situation? What happened?
Thank you for your help.
Does a K-Visa allow you to Angkor temples for free?
Yup, you should be able to skip buying tickets with your visa K. I do it every time, but it's been a few years I didn't visit the temples.
You don't need a special stamp on your visa in your passport.
As for the guards on site, I'm not sure they understand the K visa, although the tickets cashiers know about it.

Thank you Joon. I just wanted a confirmation from people who have been in the same situation.
Those guards in the video were looking for a national ID card. I have a K-visa also. Usually when they ask where my ticket is, I just tell them in Khmer that I'm Khmer and they let me through.
How old do you have to be to get a national ID card?
or can you get one at any age?

If your face is Asian, you're fine. If your face is different, they won't let you in unless you have an official letter from the company (Sokha?).remix999 wrote:Hi,
