Is Mekong Whiskey safe to drink?
Is Mekong Whiskey safe to drink?
Hi guys,
If there's any alcohol experts, no joke intended here, or someone who knows the company,
I'd be curious what's your opinion of Mekong Whiskey. Will I damage my brain more than any other brand?
Serious question
Thanx

A 70cl bottle of "alcohol" for 3000 Riels...
I'm not sure what they can put inside.
Same goes with "Super" and other weird brands.
It's almost cheaper than water.
Note : I have never seen locals drinking it. Beers or Chivas, Mekong Whiskey : never.

Alcohol doesn't actually kill brain cells, just impairs them and your ability to be human like, the liver is the victim.
It's all in the alc% per vol, I don't think Mekong Whiskey has a high apv, DM help me here
I remember drinking Tanduay rum from the filo's and it had a low apv, I liked the taste and it didn't knock your head off, unlike Inner Circle rum (Aus) which is 76% alc per vol which equates to about 180 proof in USA, also used as fkn paint stripper.
Drink water before and after, save a liver and keep some friends.

I think the Mekong sold here is made locally. The only thing I'd use it for is as an antiseptic for cuts, or cleaning paint brushes.venuslary wrote:mekong whiskey is a Thai made, safer than some others being sold here...

Drinking water won't help the liver, but will help hydration. Alcohol impedes the intestines ability to absorb water, thus the loosened bowels after a lengthy drinking session...among other issues.

I used to hear a rumour that it was made using lead piping or vats, never found out for sure! I'm sure it's not actually Whisky, but is a brown sugar cane rum!

I use it as mouthwash. Much cheaper than Listerine and does the same job.Lucky Lucan wrote:I think the Mekong sold here is made locally.
