I did something completely idiotic. I'm desperate, I have some people coming to see a white car I'm selling. Last night I used a dish soap with water and a sponge with green light scrubber to clean some black streak blemishes on the paint. After doing that the area was cleaned but it is noticeably whiter than the rest of the car.
Is there a way to undo this?
How to even out paint of a car
Looks like a long day on the sponge and scrubber.

You probably scored up the paint. You might have just "cleaned" the car, but not knowing if that's what happened, I'd just leave it be and deal with it. Body work isn't that expensive.
What kind of car? If it's not too expensive of a vehicle, I'd just adjust the price accordingly.

Thanks, obviously I don't know what I'm doing and reading after the fact, dish detergent is the last thing to use on car paint. It's a Civic and I'm taking it to professional to see what the can do.AE86 wrote:You probably scored up the paint. A big thank you, guys. The paint on the entire car looks even, shiner, and better than before. The car groomers spent almost 6 hours on it and my stupidity turned into a positive.

I never used anything else but dish detergent, never had any issue. Just a squirt in the hot water bucket.hexgator wrote:Thanks, obviously I don't know what I'm doing and reading after the fact, dish detergent is the last thing to use on car paint. Then again, I do the whole car...
The full exterior cost $90. They also did the interior which cost $40. Total of $130, this is in KL.Walter White wrote:How much did it set you back for all of that detail work?hexgator wrote:A big thank you, guys.
