Can anyone gamble in Naga Casino?
Yes, the slot/pokie machines only take notes, to cash out call an attendant, the attendant gives you a ticket which you then take to the cashier booth and exchange for the cash. For smaller cash outs the attendant usually brings you the cash which you then sign for.
I'm not a negative person, I encourage people all the time...it's usually to f**k off! But, whatever.
Thanks guys. I'll try to get it changed before it gets printed.
Here's the first few hundred words of the story - after this point the gambling ends. Let me know if it needs changes:
""""""""""""""""
Doug’s second Monday in Phnom Penh he had a bit of bad luck. He rented a motorbike, had an accident. Another bike, young kid, ran into a car at an intersection. Doug’s told everyone how the kid just came up out of nowhere behind him and a car hit him. The parents blamed Doug but the Country Director was on Doug’s side and the office paid them some compensation and it was ok.
Everyone told Doug he’d just been unlucky, but still, he couldn’t help feeling bad. The guys at work tried to help. On Friday they took him to the casino, said he needed to get his luck back.
There were girls in uniform in the casino lobby, and Doug was sure they were looking at him, like they knew or something. Why had he allowed himself to be talked into coming here? There were red carpets and tacky crystal chandeliers and a cardboard apsara next to an indoor fountain. His mates said they’d leave when a hundred was gone.
He’d never been in a casino before. He decided to ease his way in with the slot machines. The machines stood in long rows in a huge dim room, flashing and buzzing. There were many people, men in polo shirts and women in pastel blouses, but nobody spoke, all concentrated on the screens, like souls in an air-conditioned circle of hell.
Doug’s mates chose a machine for him and they started feeding notes in. Doug won. Brilliant!” said his mates. They kept on playing, and Doug started to enjoy himself. Every time his mates played, they lost. Every time Doug played, he won.
After less than an hour his mates were bored. “Time to go,” they said.
“I’ll just stay on a bit,” said Doug. He’d more than doubled his money. “Catch you up later.”
His mates left. As soon as Doug was alone two very tall girls came over. They were beautiful, so beautiful that, when Doug noticed them (his eyes were on the screen), he gasped. They were identical twins, skin like ivory, long black glossy hair, identical aristocratic noses. One wore a dress of ruby silk, the other a dress of emerald.
“Hello,” said Emerald.
“Hi”, said Ruby.
“You’re a lucky guy,” said Emerald as she sat down. “You mind if we watch?”
“Sure,” said Ruby. “Maybe some of that luck can rub off on us, huh?”
It was uncanny. Every play he made, he won. People were looking. After a while a man in a suit spoke quietly into his lapel and Emerald suggested they try the roulette wheel.
Ruby called the attendant and the attendant said Doug had won a lot and he’d have to go to the cashier to collect. Emerald said she’d help mind it. He took a chair at a roulette table and started placing five-dollar bets.
Pretty soon they were twenty-dollar bets. He just couldn’t lose.
The man in the suit was standing discreetly nearby. He muttered into his lapel and Ruby suggested they try a private room. It was time for Doug to learn poker.
Doug played poker with three serious men in polo shirts, two Khmer and one Thai. Ruby and Emerald gave him instructions on the technicalities, but he placed his own bets. He won. They played again, and this time he decided to bet everything. One big bet and he’d either go bust or … or what? He wasn’t sure any more.
He won.
The Thai stood up. “Finished,” he said. The two Khmers stood up. “Finished,” they agreed. One of the Khmer men patted Doug on the shoulder. “You very lucky, my friend. Take care.”
Ruby and Emerald escorted Doug to the cashier, who counted the money out in bricks of hundred-dollar bills. He lined them up like a Great Wall of China on his side of the counter, wondering as the wall grew how he could get them back to his apartment. The man in the suit was standing nearby, and he coughed discretely to attract Doug’s attention. Would our honoured guest like a complimentary night in our Naga Suite? Doug said he wouldn’t mind.

I want to go too. can anybody take me there please?
Jessy, I wouldn't suggest going to the casino, but if you really want to, then just go for a look, maybe have a meal and a drink or 2...but whatever you do, don't throw any money away trying to gamble.Jessy101 wrote:I want to go too. can anybody take me there please?
