When does it get light at night?
When does it get light at night?
Does it ever stay light here until around 10pm?
It's always dark by 6pm at the moment, which makes it hard to squeeze things into the day.
I can't find any real info online.

I see that your first post on Khmer440, about having just moved to Cambodia, was well over a year ago. You just noticing this day/night stuff now?

Chiang Mai.
Or maybe it doesn't stay light until 10pm.
I'm only noticing now because I want to go for a swim at night in the sea.
I've never felt the need to do anything at night where I needed light until now.

You went swimming in the sea at night in Chiang Mai???? Quite a feat, considering the nearest ocean is a few hundred Miles away....finy wrote:Chiang Mai.

Have you ever looked at a map and understand the thingy about latitude and longitude?

Okay, obviously it has something to do with location.
So a simpler question would be: will it ever stay light until 7pm?

If you like the light of day around here, best is to get up with the sun at 6am and go to sleep early when it goes down, which ain't much later than 6pm +/- 30min. depending on season.

Cambodia is pretty close to the equator. The sun will set at around 6 p.m. all day, year round. There is a greater variation in summer/winter daylight hours in places located at far northern and southern latitudes.
