Lesser thought of items to pack/ship
As I'm preparing to pack and ship our stuff over, what are some items that are hard to find / you wish you had brought / you are glad that you brought? Any ideas welcome.

Good thoughts, thanks! I use a double edged safety razor and just stocked up on some Merkur blades that will last a good while.YaTingPom wrote:Proper razor blades (Super Iridium), Palmolive shaving sticks interdent tooth picks.

a significant volume of my wheeling bag consists of herbs and spices. Chinese or otherwise. in resealable plastic enclosures-bags. can be hard to find and/or expensive if imported into local retail outlets. volume/weight price-wise i find doable. you may also want to pack your specific medicinal requirements.

Cool, yea as I'm shipping a bunch of good overs, I have some space and was planning on bringing some of my regular spices, including hot sauces that I enjoy. I know there's always a side of chili-something nearby in Cambodia, but I do like my Mexican sauces...puss in boots wrote:a significant volume of my wheeling bag consists of herbs and spices. Safety razor blades are 30c a 5 pack, or thereabouts. Cheaper by the 100 x 5 box pack at orrusie.
Useful things:
Socks. Good socks. That fit. And aren't made of horrible sweaty plastic thread. Bring a few dozen pairs for each year you're not going to visit somewhere where you can stock up. Assuming you're not moving to SHV to retire and might actually need to wear shoes and sleeves.
Shoes. I'm 45/46, so nothing fits here except hand made and full price ugly things at citymart. They do good rubber flip flops in big sizes too.
Patience. Bring a few bags. By the time you run out, you'll hopefully have adjusted and can start living without all the shit you thought you couldn't live without.

I'll throw in some good items from the Duty Free to help with that last thought there
