Khmer restaurants/beer gardens with ok live music
In the future I shall be organizing my 50th birthday party and a goodbye Cambodia bon voyage world tour, so I'm looking for a Khmer Restaurant that has seating for 30-40 people , with good food and this is a must live music. Also needs to be inside or outside with decent roof cover as this party will happen in October during the drizzle season. Anywhere in Phnom Penh will be considered. Your suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Cheers

Forest has a separate room for such events, you can still hear the live music in the main part. Would be pricey.
You might also consider check in cowboy, though i'm not 100% sure they have live music every night

I know it is not exactly what you requested, more a suggestion. I few years back I had my 50th at SMango on the east bank of the Mekong about 2km north of Ara Saat ferry. They took really good care of about 50 of us of all ages including kids and families from mid afternoon through the night, we had the place to ourselves. We organised DJs with loud music through to late, so I am sure they wouldn't mind you organizing a band. Had a boat leave the PP water front to bring people over early then it came back to pick them up at midnight. Some people drove over using the ferry some even came by tuk tuk and moto from PP, it is not really that far. Some of us booked out the rooms and stayed the night, some just passed out on the grass or in the hammocks, management didn't seem to mind. We organised our own BBQ but we could have had the guesthouse do the food for a reasonable price. All up it cost a lost less than you might think and it is a great venue especially as the sunsets and you can see the lights of PP in the distance while you are floating in the pool or chilling on the grass. Couldn't recommend it enough to anyone who is thinking of celebrating the big 50, really memorable.

Cheers for all suggestions so far and please keep em coming. Smango I know well but is not suitable as I have family coming from far and wide who need a good old fashioned Khmer shin dig and as I am paying cheap.
