Finding a Job
Finding a Job
I have an online tefl cert and a BA degree. Would that be sufficient to find a job in Phnom Penh? Also, how does the business VOA work? Just pay $200 at the airport and you're good to go?

A pulse is sufficient to find a teaching job in Phnom Penh, but from all accounts here you'll get crap hours earning $10 an hour, barely scraping a subsistence income, and cursing the 28 public holidays when you won't get paid at all.fredfuchs wrote:I have an online tefl cert and a BA degree. As for visa, it's $30 for a one month ordinary visa at the airport, and then you will need to renew that. The cost is around $280 for an additional 12 months. There is no such thing as a business visa.
^ Ordinary VOA is $35....Tourist VOA is $30
I'm not a negative person, I encourage people all the time...it's usually to f**k off! But, whatever.
Implying I have standards at this pointalanclarke72 wrote:A pulse is sufficient to find a teaching job in Phnom Penh, but from all accounts here you'll get crap hours earning $10 an hour, barely scraping a subsistence income, and cursing the 28 public holidays when you won't get paid at all.fredfuchs wrote:I have an online tefl cert and a BA degree.
