Good evening ladies and gentlemen!
Urgent question ahead
I was stupid enough to go for a Tourist visa when I arrived at the airport.. Anyways: I have extended this visa once already and it expires TODAY - and now I want an Ordinary visa.
8-hours bus to Poipet or 4-hour to KK. Or 2.5 hour to Vietnam (if you are on the visa exempt list)....
So tomorrow I'll go to Lucky to organize a visa run... I'm on the visa exempt list to Vietnam but I called Lucky and they said that they only organize trips TO Vietnam and not BACK to Phnom Penh - and to be able to enter Vietnam I need a ticket that shows that I'll leave the country.
Anyone with any ideas on how to solve this?
Also, any chance that I might experience any problems getting an Ordinary visa when its time to enter Cambodia again from Vietnam (without the "proper" documentation?)
Can it be that the Poipet border is a safer option or I shouldn't worry? Anyone here that has experienced any problems with this (going from T-visa to O-visa via a land border - especially Vietnam)?
Appreciate all the help I can get! I have been reading around and I have abused google but without any success - therefore this post.
Cheers and thanks,
R84

I would go to one of the many travel agencies in the riverside area. There are many. Those agencies not only arrange travel, but they also arrange visa extensions. I bet they would have a good idea what options you had.

You could always just fly to Bangkok for a night or two and come back. Beats 16 hours round trip on a bus to and from Poipet. air Asia has flights over the next few days for $79 to BKK and roughly $57 coming back.
Is there a rule that you can't exit and re-enter Cambodia by land on the same day? Or is that a rule for people leaving and re-entering Thailand on the same day? Maybe I'm imagining it.

1) Fly to Bangkok or KL with AirAsia in morning and come back afternoon and buy Ordinary visa.
2) Take bus to Saigon. Leave the bus on Vietnam side, walk back to Cambodia and buy Ordinary visa. Take car or bus back to Phnom Penh.
But this depent what passport you have, that do ya need visa to Vietnam?

Pardon my engrish, thanks you.
Go to a travel agent. They can do the visa run for you while you relax, of course it costs more and you also have to trust them with the passport.
Note : I used a agent on riverside but can't recall which one. I also didn't wait to last second either.

This was on topic month ago:
Visa questions: http://www.khmer440.com/chat_forum/view ... xtend+visaSo he coudn't do it. He refunded my money and passport. I went to Ana agency a few meters down and they told me that I can only extend the tourist visa for a month, not convert into business especially being Indian.
Pardon my engrish, thanks you.
Go check it out with the agent. I had no issues but things may have changed.
