diesel with water truth or myth?
i heard a couple of times that diesel in cambodia its of bad quality because there is water in it. local bullshit or truth?

It's the same with petrol.
It's not necessarily the fact they are mixing it on purpose it is more to with the station tanks being under filled so condensation gets in there.
A few months ago I had engine problems on the bike after filling at Caltex on Norodom.. when the tank was drained on the bike it was 60/40 petrol to water...

Happened to me once too, but after thinking it over I remembered on the way home I had the bike washed. After initially cursing the seller of the fuel I'm not so sure anymore now, maybe water went in while they cleaned the bike. Anyway, now I always check if the tank is properly closed after a filling and it didn't happen again.Chuck Wow wrote:It's the same with petrol.

Water and sulphur content are too high in diesel in Cambodia.
I bet you'll find that no one will offer an diesel engine for sale in Cambodia, north of Eu4 with the particulate filter attached.
