I need a 6 month business visa . Can I get a 1 month business visa at the Moc Bai border and change to 6 months in PP ?
Will they ask any awkward questions or need documents from employer to issue this at the border or is it just standard procedure ? Is it just a case of pay up the 35 $ and extend it to 6 months in Phnom Penh ?
I can see no offer of business visa from online . Would the Cambodian Embassy in Saigon do this ?
If I am denied business visa at border can I exchange from tourist visa to business 6 month visa in Phnom Penh .I was told so but price was 200 $ . Anyone one with recent knowledge of this would be much appreciated .
Thanks .
Getting a 6 month business visa for Cambodia
They stopped calling it a business visa, type E visa is known as an ordinary visa since 2 years ago iirc. Land crossings may or may not have the proper paper in stock. You won't find out until it's possibly too late, although I had no problem from Vietnam over land many years ago. I don't know of the possibilities to change from tourist to ordinary visa without crossing the border but if you are going to spend $200 take a plane and problem solved, cheaper. Any travel agent can get your visa extended for you.
A 6 month extension will cost much more than $35, that's the price of the one month visa. No employment papers are needed.
Bless

Two times when i landed and applied for ordinary visa the guy ask if im going to work. I say no and he point on turist visa. I say no, ordinary.
However another guy and hes girlfriend who want ordinary bought hes shit and left with tourist one.
If he start talk just repeat "no no, ordinary" and allways check when you get it so you have the right one. They can screw you.
You can change your visa by sending your passport to the border and pray you get it back. But this is illegal as far as i know. Better just pay the 5$ extra at border.

OP, all the information regarding visas can be found in the link below.

Technically Tourist visas cannot be changed to Ordinary visas without departing and re-entering Cambodia, although some agencies do offer this service for an extortionate fee, personally I wouldn't take the risk.
People of certain nationalities, usually based on skin colour, may have problems been issued with an Ordinary visa on arrival.
