Cambodian Passport Renewal
Cambodian Passport Renewal
I know I have seen this info here recently but can't find it.
Does anyone have info on cost and more importantly time taken to renew a Cambodian adult passport? I think there is a ' fast-track' service available - how fast is it?
Thanks in advance.

You can extend it if there is any page available. In MFA or Counsulate if you are abroad. We did it for my wife.
Thanks, but it's nearly full so we really need a new one.yg11 wrote:You can extend it if there is any page available. In MFA or Counsulate if you are abroad. We did it for my wife.

The cost is $110 for 1 month turnaround (ignore my post that says $100, misprint). There are fast track options, as quick as 24 hour turnaround but I can't remember the price sorry.

OK, thanks for the info. I'll contact our usual agent One World Travel, I hadn't realised the agents were in to this as well.
Cheers.
Cheers.

All the agents really do is fill in the paperwork and ensure the applicants documents are in order. The applicant still has to go to the Passport office in order to have biometrics and photo taken, it's an extremely simple process.

^ Bugger! When I went with the missus, without an agent, only took about 40mins from start to finish.

Thanks for the replies.
The info from One World, in case anyone is interested:
2 day turn around - $225
2 weeks turn around - $175
30 - 35 day turn around - $111
Even with the two day turn around, it is going to be very tight for us to travel when we wanted, so we have decided to postpone the trip till Christmas. I didn't really want to go at Christmas but I can't face England in October or November!

3) using an agent can you avoid the waiting queue ?

I helped friends to make their passport through an advertised agency on Facebook. The thing you must absolute do is have them come down and meet face to face. Cost them $115, they said it will take 3 months, but all of them got their passports in a month time.khmerre wrote:Phuket2006 wrote:yep;PSD_Kiwi wrote:All the agents really do is fill in the paperwork and ensure the applicants documents are in order. So from my experience:
1) using a reliable agent save you a lot of hassles and cost the same from the immigration officers asking price.
2) I would recommend to have him/her pick it up themselves.
3) like number 1 said.
EVERYONE BOW DOWN TO HIS MAJESTIES phat kunthea™

Max 30-35 days no agent $110.... agent same time same price
WE used an agent, all she did was make sure paperwork was correct,gf still had to wait in Line
paid $170 and got passport back in 14 days ( picked it up from the agent)
BTW her old passport is still valid as they never asked for it when we did the new one, unlike most countries where they cancelled old one when new one issued.
If you dont use an agent u need pick it up at the passport office

she has a friend in PP regularly travelling to SR but I dont know if he could pick up the passport without being an agent ? just having a written autorisation for the pick up or in the form is to write down, who will pick up the new passport ?
is it possible to download somewhere the forms for the appllication of the passport ?
